"SOME SECRETS EXIST TO NOT BE UNVEILED, BUT TO RATHER BE KEPT PRIVATE AND SAFE"
A walk in the forest in a very rainy noon right after lunch. Probably not the greatest idea you've ever had. The feeling as a whole was unsettling, due to the trees that seemed to stare into your very soul, the cries of the wildlife as it seeked cover from the droplets. But at the same time, it also felt... eerily peaceful: other than the previous factors, there was the crunchy sound of the dirt leaving the trace of your shoes, the calming chirps of the doves and the owls, the rain falling on the leaves like a secret whispered in the air and the familiar smell of musk and rain. It felt oddly peaceful and quiet... maybe to quiet...
But then, a rustling sounds from the think foliage and faint glow coming from inside finally broke that eery sense of peace and replaced it with a tension that felt clingy but not overwhelming. Curiously, you followed the glow, as it got brighter the more feet you walked. And when you were finally in front of it, it somehow felt like it was calling for you. It didn't make any sound, but the silence felt like a thousand of souls calling for your name. And then, all of a sudden, the light got really bright to the point you blacked out...
Waking up, you found yourself in a place that was entirely different from the forest: It was mostly dark, felt like some sort of thing strands making the ground and dirt that stretched indefinitely. Feeling that your form'd gotten... shrunk, you made your way to the new ground, avoiding strands of roots, mushrooms and stone. And when you'd accidentally tripped, you looked up and saw it: a comatose bug, inside a thorny cage, slounched over the floor, holding what it looked like a... needle? Who was this?
"You will finally be free from suffering, you poor lost Vessel... We are going to free you... brother..."
Those were the words whispered to the snarling and squirming Hollow Knight as they were held tight and bound to the silk. the Knight had matured as a vessel to and was trying to take down their sibling, corrupted by the Infection and the Radiance. As needles clashed, Hornet made sure to hold the enemy tight with her own silk, so that her big brother could deliver the final hit. And then, silence. Hollow Knight was now a tormented spirit inhabiting a very haunted shell. But before that? Hornet'd seen a very blinding glow coming from the torn Vessel roaring in pain as the Knight freed the spirit from the corrupted Vessel and ending the infection of Hallownest...
Hornet slowly woke up, her eye holes slowly splitting as she groggily gripped her cloak and needle. She sat up slowly, groaning softly from the mouth she didn't have and looked around in confusion. That meant that she'd noticed the thorrny cage, the new being standing directly in front of her with a confused, yet amazed expression and, worst of all, the shell of the Knight cracked and split in half...
