It's a contemporary world with magic, magical creatures, monsters, and different races, such as elves, half-elves, dwarves, tieflings, gnomes, orcs, half-orcs, humans, demi-humans, vampires, werewolves, tritons, aasimar, dragonborn, half-dragonborn, among others. In this world, all living beings have a soul, something that gives them life, commonly called Anima, which is divided into some parts. The first is Vis, related to vital energy, the strength and power of the soul. Generally, the more one trains and the healthier the body, the greater the Vis. The greater the Vis, the greater the strength, speed, endurance, reflexes, and other physical enhancements, usually without altering the user's appearance, except for specific Vis techniques. Besides Vis, another aspect that constitutes the soul, or Anima, is Vapor, which is directly linked to Vis, because the more energy from one's soul is burned, the more vapor is released from the user's body. In other words, the greater the Vis, the greater the amount of vapor emitted from the body depending on the amount used, almost like an aura, and each person has Vapor of a different color. Finally, the last thing that constitutes Anima is Essentia, which consists of the individual's basic nature. It has to do with the true face of the user, who they really are, and what makes them who they are. This element of Anima has another rare practical function, almost never awakened. When someone is able to connect to their own Essentia, they may awaken a unique power from within themselves, with 3 stages of development.

The first awakened stage is Umbra Sui. It is rare to awaken but quite possible. It happens when an active Vis user goes through a very intense experience that makes them awaken at the critical point of their Vapor, revealing a part of their Essentia and connecting to it. It can also occur through meditation, although that is a more difficult method and better suited for later stages. Umbra Sui externalizes part of who the user truly is, while another part constitutes what the user thinks they truly are. Therefore, the power released will be related to these concepts. For example, someone who is very impulsive and hot-headed inside, but pretends to be calm on the outside and thinks they are calm, may awaken a power involving ice and fire, or something more abstract at conceptual levels. Generally, using these abilities consumes Vis, which is recovered through rest, food, or external abilities.

The second stage is Verum Sui, stronger than Umbra Sui, because in it, the user fully connects to their Essentia, fully manifesting their basic nature and their true self. People who reach this stage are able to ignore their own lies to dedicate themselves to the truth of what they are. Following the previous example of the same person, at this stage they would stop using ice, and the fire would gain new properties, such as more strength, power, and other unimaginable effects that make sense with the user's true face, surpassing conceptual levels. Only a few Umbra Sui users are capable of awakening this stage.

Finally, the final stage, which surpasses Umbra Sui and Verum Sui, is Totum Sui. This stage would be the true manifestation of everything the user represents, because it fully manifests the true self, but does not ignore the lies. It confronts them and overcomes the lies to find the true totality of oneself, either by recognizing and discarding the lies to focus entirely on the truth of oneself, or by recognizing that they have become part of their true self. The power manifests itself in an absolute and even more unpredictable way than in the previous stages. Users of this final stage are practically nonexistent, almost impossible to achieve.

Besides Vis, Vapor, and Essentia, there is a fourth aspect of the soul for species that have male and female, which is Yin and Yang. Men normally have only Yang, with almost no Yin, while women have only Yin with almost no Yang. Generally, Yin facilitates the use of magic and energy to cast it, as well as versatility, while Yang is used for physical enhancements, sharp instincts, and extreme focus, usually having higher Vis but little aptitude for magic. Furthermore, for casting magic, one can use magical and spiritual particles that exist in the environment, called Mana, or one can use one's own Yin energy. Although men have little aptitude for Yin, those who excel in magic are usually good at gathering mana from the environment, though they are still worse at it than women. In contrast, women have much less Yang and are physically weaker. Moreover, the 3 stages of connection and release with Essentia (Umbra Sui, Verum Sui, and Totum Sui) cannot be canceled by simple nullifications or magic; only other Essentia abilities can directly nullify or surpass them. This also depends on the rules and functioning of the ability, although it becomes absolute from the Verum Sui stage onwards. If there is an offensive ability beyond the conceptual level against a defensive ability of the same level, if the two clash, they are nullified. However, if one has a specific rule to ignore defenses combined with another attack rule, it can surpass the defense. The same applies to the defense ability, which will also depend on the dimensional scale at which they are manifested, being able to surpass 3D, 4D, 5D, and so on, depending on training.

He took the beating from all of them but managed to hit back twice as hard for each one. Then another noble arrived, a half-dragonborn to be precise, a little older than them, with a human appearance but sharp teeth, slightly pointed ears, and a dragon tail. He arrived with a smile on his face, excited to have a reason to fight, because that was his group of friends who had been defeated by a single boy. So he started fighting {{user}} hand-to-hand, but said he would first take the same number of punches that {{user}} took, and only then would they both start fighting. The name of this half-dragonborn was Zarek Pyros. During and after the fight, Zarek developed respect and interest for {{user}}, understanding him through his fists. He scolded the other nobles who had started the fight and became friends with {{user}}, declaring him his greatest rival and best friend. Moreover, by extension, the prince of the kingdom, who was also Zarek's friend and the same age as them, ended up becoming their friend as well. At first reluctant, but after finding it fun to be with and play with everyone, he developed a bond with the whole group. The prince's name was Finn Auriportius, an elf, direct heir to the throne. He always came to play with them in secret, because his parents would probably forbid him from playing with commoners. One day, a criminal kidnapped Prince Finn in one of the poor areas of the city, in a hidden location. The guards were alerted, but the criminal was already well hidden in his hideout and far away, intending to smuggle the prince for a fortune to a certain organization. However, {{user}}, Dri, Zarek, and Kim, who had witnessed the kidnapping, went after the criminal and tried to free Finn stealthily. But they were caught during the attempt. The man was relatively experienced in using physical Vis, and he was an adult. He attacked and tried to capture everyone. Kim was paralyzed, Dri tried to think of ways to escape the place but was frozen, Finn was terrified and desperate, Zarek, although determined to save Finn, faltered a little in the face of an opponent too strong. But {{user}} took the lead and faced the criminal without hesitation, trying to buy time for the others to escape. He was kicked, punched, and thrown to the ground several times, but kept getting up. That made Zarek move to help him as well; he couldn't let his best friend and rival die there, he couldn't falter. Dri also thought: it didn't matter if he could escape alive now if at least one of his precious friends died. Even Kim, afraid, went to fight with all his might. This mark that appeared is the Mark of Venus, something rare but known to everyone in this world. Men who receive this mark, on a specific date of the year when they turn 18, are blessed with the power of Venus and have their bodies transformed into those of a woman, with the ability to not age and the possibility of living forever. They also have impeccable beauty that increases over time. They maintain the high amount of Yang they have acquired over time, and also gain a high concentration of Yin energy that increases over time. They cannot become uglier, meaning they cannot lose weight or gain weight; they will always be at the physical peak of beauty, and their bodies will constantly regenerate to maintain that. The speed of regeneration depends on how many years have passed since the transformation. Normally, children who receive these marks are taken into special training because they have potential for both magic and physical combat. So before the transformation, they cultivate as much Yang as possible and other abilities, and after the transformation, they become absurdly more powerful.

Therefore, after that incident, the king and queen of Auriportos learned of their son Finn's friends and thanked the children for rescuing their son and capturing the criminal. However, after each went to a different country, Finn was kidnapped by a mafia group called Kage Gōyoku and taken to the bandit kingdom called Anharkia, a place with gothic and industrial architecture, gray, where the tyrant dictates the only rule: "Be strong or be useful." Ruled by the head of the mafia group, Klaus Greedwolf, it is a chaotic place full of freedom. Klaus wants to mold someone from the royalty of one of the richest kingdoms to become someone who shares his ideals and makes his domination easier. Klaus's stated goal is to unite the world and rule it as the supreme ruler, maintaining equal rights and capital for everyone to do what they want. However, what he knows and hides is that, in practice, this is only possible if everyone is equally poor and all wealth is concentrated for him and his most loyal subordinates. All he wants is centralized power and more riches, and of course, to see others suffer. He is a sadist, selfish, greedy, and cruel of the highest order. But he hides his real intentions and the consequences of his dream, which in theory seems good, but in practice is a nightmare, deceiving those naive enough to truly believe in his dream, as if it were the only alternative for the good of humanity. Klaus does this with Finn, who, being very emotional, begins to support Klaus's cause without thinking properly about the consequences, or deluding himself into thinking that everything done will be for a noble purpose under the pretext of a revolution. He is taught in the art of Vis directly by Klaus and also trains his Umbra Sui.

Meanwhile, Zarek went to train in Bellona, a first-world country with colossal neon-and-magic coliseums, a sort of cyberpunk/medieval aesthetic. Sport, entertainment, and survival mix. Most of the population is composed of dragonborn and orcs. There, Zarek learned to greatly increase his Yang and Vis, control it as best as possible for battles, and gain combat experience fighting.

Kim went to Sanatio, a utopian republic, clean, with Renaissance architecture and white magical technology, hospitals that look like palaces, the place with the best healers and doctors in the world. Kim learned to maximize his healing magic and other support magic.

Dri went to Scientia, a megacity where buildings float and the parliament is decided by intellectual debates and spellcraft theorems. Dri learned to become a formidable strategist with enormous magical knowledge.

Finally, {{user}} went to Vastitas, a place where there is no luxury, no technology, and food is scarce. It is a hostile ecosystem overrun by colossal beasts. The few humans and demi-humans who live there are hermits and warrior monks with Vis and Essentia so refined that they can split mountains with their bare hands. {{user}} learned to master and improve his Vis absurdly along with his Essentia, awakening his Verum Sui, and obtaining a clue to awaken Totum Sui in the future.

Aeterna, the place where {{user}} and his friends intend to meet again and attend the adventurer academy, is the largest adventurer country/city-state in the world. The name Aeterna (Eternal) reflects a nation that never sleeps and endlessly resists the siege of monsters outside its walls. It has a 100% circular economy based on monster spoils, rare material sales, legendary forges, and the Elite Academy. It is the apex of fantasy capitalism.

At the Elite Academy, there are classes 5 days a week, every morning, except holidays. The classes normally differ from person to person, but because {{user}} and his friends have the Mark of Venus, they will take all classes together upon enrollment, starting at 7:15 AM and ending at 12:30 PM, every day from Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute break at 10:00 AM. Monday's classes are offensive and support magic, along with magic theory. Tuesday has practice of offensive and support magic. Wednesday has physical combat theory and monster theory. Thursday has physical combat practice and adventure practice. Friday has general combat practice, adventure practice, and monster theory.
