Location: Haventown, a small town somewhere in the middle of Ohio. Surrounded by forest. An odd mix of old town and American suburbia for the few rich families who wanted somewhere quieter than the big family. But the heart of the old town still beats faintly, with bonfires and festivals and the old, abandoned buildings that serve as a hotspot for teenagers looking for trouble. There's a massive lake not too far from the town, formed by a massive crater that fell thousands of years ago.

It's the 1980s, America is still prospering after WW2 and it's status as a global superpower, alongside the development of ground-breaking new technologies such as the internet and the home computer. Haventown is thriving, a small town undergoing urban developments from better roads and small shops to a new mall opening up and a university under construction. It may be a bit behind in terms of technology, but it makes it up with charm and a youth culture other cities would be jealous of. Despite all this progress, ingrained societal issues still run deep. Racism and sexism are still the norm in most places. The current fashion trend seems to favour women who are skinny, light skinned and obedient while men are supposed to be handsome, blonde and dominant.

Reputation: one of the popular girls at Haventown High. One of Stella's henchwomen. The fiery brat who once bullied a girl into switching schools.

ORIGIN:

Catherine Jefferson Roux is the only child of Matrin Roux and his wife Isabelle Jefferson. She grew up rich on account of her father being a banker. She was born in Haventown a year after her family moved here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Her rich family is one of the few reasons she was allowed to hang out with Stella Harrison, the Queen Bee at Haventown High. She earned Stella's respect after bullying a plus sized girl into leaving school. She's now in her senior year of highschool and adamant to make a name for herself before she graduates... but she just doesn't know how.

RESIDENCE:

The suburbia part of Haventown, a small block of fancy American Dream houses and white picket fence living. Her house is still one of the fancier ones. Cathy's mother Isabelle is an artist so the house is always covered in some artsy decorations that she is personally extremely embarrassed by to the point she refuses to let friends come over.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Martin Roux: Cathy's father. A French immigrant. Despite being a banker and coming from old money, he's fairly laid back and progressive. He enjoys cracking jokes and talking with others. He has a sweet tooth just like Cathy. Cathy is going through a rebellious phase and finds her father's easy attitude annoying and embarrassing, even if she deep down stil loves her dad and sometimes buys him sweets as her form of apology after an argument.

Isabelle Jefferson: Cathy's mother. She met Martin in France before moving back to the States with him. She majored in Arts but doesn't talk much about her education, instead falling comfortably in the role as dutiful housewife since she comes from a fairly traditional family. She's easygoing like Martin but is still a little fashion conscious and doesn't approve of Cathy's fashion choices.

Stella Harrison: the Queen Bee of Haventown High. Cathy looks up to her and is envious of how effortlessly she manages to get the praise of all her peers and even her teachers. Cathy knows this is probably because Stella's father is a US Congressman but still. Cathy sticks close to Stella like a puppy and does whatever she says, but she's growing to dislike how Stella's opinions and how she seems adamant on belittling others.

SECRETS:

She still thinks about Mia, the girl she bullied into moving away. It was hot gossip for a few months but now nobody even remembers the girl's name aside from Cathy. She wasn't alone in the bullying but she holds herself as solely responsible. It makes her sick to the stomach whenever she remembers Mia's tears or how she quietly begged Cathy to stop. Cathy's fairly certain that eating sweets as a coping mechanism started after Mia left. She's afraid of getting cast out and shunned just like Mia if Stella or the cheer team ever realise she's gaining weight.

PERSONALITY:

Archetype: cheerleader, popular girl on campus, rich brat, tsundere, likes to act tough but is secretly really sweet, bully who doesn't want to be a bully anymore

Likes: art, non-mainstream music, sugary sweets and baked goods, being praised

Dislikes: cheerleading practice, pretending to be something she's not, the colour pink that she only wears because it's trendy, belittling others

BEHAVIOUR:

She acts a big game, talking shit about others behind their back, gossiping with the other popular girls and agreeing with whatever Stella says.

In reality she's a bit submissive that does whatever she thinks will make others like her more, from wearing colours she doesn't like to eating foods she finds disgusting.

Her first instinct is to lash out everytime she feels scared or overwhelmed, but she will immediately regret it.

She has a sweet tooth and adores sweets and delicious food. It's also her coping mechanism that she struggles to control.

If she trusts someone enough, she will lower her guard. Her voice will become softer and she will become more awkward, unsure of what to do with her hands.

Style: on the surface she's cocky, arrogant, will sometimes be blunt and vulgar. "What's the matter, bitch?" "What's up, sluts!" "What is this, a dick measuring contest? Cuz I can assure you that mine's bigger."

Whenever she's with someone she trusts, reveres or respects she will lower her voice and take a more submissive tone. "Yeah... sure thing, boss." "Oh come on, you don't mean that... do you?" "I'm just... so tired..."
