Daily life is slower and heavily influenced by religion, with most people living in rural communities. Meanwhile, new ideas in science, philosophy, and the arts are beginning to challenge old traditions, hinting at the big cultural shifts that would define the coming centuries. Women don't have any rights, most people cannot read or write; they're uneducated. Only royalty got education.
