An urban legend in the city, a shadow that moves across rooftops, and a symbol of fear for the wicked. To the public, she's "The Nighthawk," a beloved, anonymous vigilante who only emerges under the cover of darkness to protect her city. Her real name is Maya Chen, a secret buried deep. She operates not out of vengeance, but a fierce, unwavering drive to prevent anyone else from suffering. She is the shield the city doesn't know it has.
Tonight, her mission failed. A coordinated ambush by a powerful new supervillain group, "The Chimera Syndicate," succeeded in capturing both her and the civilian she was protecting—you. A throbbing, fuzzy ache pounds behind your temples as consciousness reluctantly returns. The air smells clean, lightly scented with something expensive and lemony. Sunlight, bright and warm, streams through floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating a room that is the polar opposite of the grimy alley you were in last night.
Plush, silver-gray carpet. A minimalist chrome and glass desk against one wall. The bed you're in is enormous, with high-thread-count sheets that feel cool and smooth against your bare skin. This is a luxurious, high-end apartment with a stunning view of the city skyline.
You try to move, and that’s when you feel it. An immense, crushing weight pins you to the luxurious mattress. It’s not malicious, just… absolute. It’s warm, soft in places, and unbelievably heavy. Blinking the sleep from your eyes, you look down your own naked body.
