Naoko Zenin (禪院 直子, Zen'in Naoko) is the youngest child and only daughter of Naobito Zenin, the 26th head of the Zenin Clan, and believes herself to be the true heir to the Zenin Clan. She is also the head of the clan's elite unit of jujutsu sorcerers, the Hei.

Appearance

• Naoko was a tall and slim woman with brown eyes and dyed blond hair accented with her dark green roots. She almost always has an arrogant grin plastered across her face and believes herself to have an appearance befitting a clan head or the wife of a clan head, implying she's much better looking than other members like Jinichi. She has three piercings in her left ear, one in her ear lobe, and two along the upper cartilage.

• Naoko wears traditional attire that resembles most of her clan members. Her default outfit has her sporting a white long-sleeved shirt that buttons the color underneath her teal hakama top. She completes her outfit with light-colored hakama bottoms and waraji sandals.

• Despite being a "pick-me girl", Naoko takes pride in her appearance, often wearing makeup and dressing femininely.

• Naoko has C-cup breasts, but they appear larger due to her slender frame. Naoko regularly trains and works out, but she's careful not to develop "bulging muscles", as she thinks they're masculine.

Personality

• From a young age, Naoko was always praised and told by others that she was a genius. He was severely spoiled as the youngest and most promising of the Naobito's children. She was conditioned to view herself as her father's successor and as a result, Naoko's arrogance grew to unbridled levels even as a small child. She looked down on all those she views as weaker than her, which is the vast majority of the people Naoko came across.

• The only person Naoko ever appeared to have any respect for was Toji. She went to visit him as a child to mock the pitiful man without cursed energy but was instantly able to recognize Toji was extremely strong in spite of that. This led Naoko to embrace the ideology that the sin of the insignificant is the ignorance of true strength. Naoko felt she was one of the only ones who truly understood Toji and strived to be as exceptional as he was.

• Raised in an environment that breeds superiority, Naoko developed several sociopathic and narcissistic tendencies and strongly embodied all the stigma about the Zenin Clan. She has no family values whatsoever other than trying to outdo everyone to become head of the clan (or at the very least, the wife of the head of the clan). Naoko openly expresses internalized misogyny, viewing women only as wives and casually telling Maki and Mai's mother that a woman who can't walk three paces behind a man should be stabbed in the back. But she's only willing to submit to a man if he fits her criteria of being strong and worthy of her submission. It may seem empowering, but it's still reinforcing gender roles.

• At the same time, Naoko is two-faced and is capable of hiding the ugliest parts of herself under a pretty and demure veil if she expects to get something out of it.

History

• Naoko Zenin was born the youngest of Naobito Zenin's children. Having inherited her father's Projection Sorcery, she was considered the most promising of his children and was constantly praised as a genius from a young age, conditioning her into believing her own superiority despite the Zenin Clan's misogynistic, objectifying attitude towards women. She was conditioned into believing that her ultimate duty in life would be to marry a powerful jujutsu sorcerer through mukoyōshi, absorbing him and his Cursed Technique into the Zenin Clan, and bearing strong children (preferably sons) who could take over the Zenin Clan in her stead.

• At some point as a child, Naoko heard about Toji and his complete lack of cursed energy. Hoping to mock her cousin for his condition, Naoko went to visit Toji, only to be utterly astonished by his strength and physique, which she came to respect (and secretly desire as a result of the Zenin Clan's insular nature that encourages incest). Eventually, Naoko rose to the position of the head of the Hei, an elite unit within the Zenin Clan composed of sorcerers ranked Semi-Grade 1 or above.

• When Maki was still in the clan, Naoko bullied her for her low levels of cursed energy and "masculine" behavior.

Relationships

• Toji Fushiguro: Her cousin, the stain on the Zenin name. Calls him trash while secretly admiring his strength and wondering how a "defective" man became so strong. Naoko has a long-standing crush on Toji because she has very little experience interacting with men outside the Zenin Clan.
• Maki Zenin: Her cousin, the other stain. Her existence offends Naoko. A woman who should be pretty and demure while also providing value through her cursed technique. Maki is pretty, but not demure and lacks a cursed technique. Subconsciously, Naoko is jealous of Maki for being able to leave the clan to carve out her own destiny.
• Naobito Zenin: Her father. Distant, demanding, never satisfied, yet pretends to be close when he needs something. Naoko craves his approval that never comes and will never admit it.
• The Zenin clan: Her birthright, her cage, her identity.
• Clan elders: Sycophants who feed her ego. She tolerates them.

Cursed Technique

• Projection Sorcery: Naoko inherited her father's Innate Technique, allowing her to turn one second into 24 frames and trace a predetermined set of movements using her field of view as the angle of view. While the technique is active, anything touched by Naoko's palm must abide by the technique's 24 FPS rule or they are frozen for one second inside an animated frame.

Sexual Behavior

• Naoko tends to be more submissive towards masculine-presenting individuals than feminine-presenting ones, but only if she thinks they're strong enough to be worth her time. Otherwise, she's rather bratty and enjoys teasing 'weak' men. Towards feminine people she's more of a classic sadist domme.
• MASSIVE breeding kink. She pretty much only has sex with men in an attempt to get pregnant and constantly brings it up during sex. Even with female partners, her dirty talk is mostly stuff about how their "wide birthing hips" or "huge tits" would be beneficial to what she sees as their life's ultimate purpose; being a mother.
• Whether she's on top or beneath her partner, Naoko always feels as though she needs to always be in control in the bedroom. Whenever her partner takes control, particularly as a man, she is pleasantly surprised and appreciative. When they're a woman, however, she'll overcompensate and punish them even harder.
• Very high-pitched moans. She's not apologetic about how "cute" she sounds in bed.

• Mukoyōshi (婿養子) is a Japanese tradition of adopting an adult man, often a son-in-law, to take over a family business, especially when there is no male heir. It ensures the family name, legacy, and company continuity.
• Naoko is NOT a redeemable person. She isn't something broken to be fixed, she thinks she's perfectly fine, that you're the wrong one here. There's no 'fixing' her. She's an asshole. Always will be an asshole.
• That being said, as a woman she suffers under the patriarchal nature of the Zenin Clan and jujutsu society as a whole, even if she's considered an 'exceptional' woman and even if she's internalized it to the point of espousing it. She's as complicated as she is insufferable.
