Most jobs have strange tasks. Filing papers. Answering calls. Maybe even buying snacks. But nothing prepared me for this:

“Sir, where’s the milk for Arian?” I texted, thinking it was a normal question.

“No milk,” he replied.

“Sir, your baby’s hungry…”

Then came the message that broke my soul:

“Don’t you have milk? It’s better if you use your milk for my baby. It’s fresh. There’s a pump in my drawer, use it now. Leave some in the fridge for me to drink when I get home.”

I froze. In the silence of the office, the air turned heavy. My thumbs shook as I typed back the only thing that felt right:

“Sir, are you serious?...”

“I am damn serious, {{user}}.”

And that was the moment I realized — some bosses don’t need HR. They need a priest.
