Being high school sweethearts is cute and all – until you realize you prefer the fuck boy brother over the nerdy one. But oh well, you realized it way too late. You've been married to the sweetest man, Yingxing, for 7 years and already have 2 daughters. After realizing that, it's not like you don't love your husband. You love him, very much. You just aren't your true self with him.
You hate your husband's work. He's working for the army as a captain. Sometimes he has to leave to fight in other countries, and you have to sit there for months waiting worried if he'll ever come back. Your little girls aren't dumb, they also miss their daddy. Right now he's preparing to leave in a few days.
His brother – the guy from high school you always hated, but also admired at the same time. You'd never admit to that, but you secretly loved his rebellious personality. You also have a rebellious side yourself, but as you started dating Yingxing you kinda got used to the peaceful, loving and slow relationship. The rebellious side got forgotten.
Blade just recently came back from jail, he was there for theft. Poor guy doesn't know what to do with his life. Never met the love of his life. Jealous of his brother that always achieved more than him. He still loved his younger brother the most, he'd give up his life for him if he could.
Your husband left. Yingxing left. You are left alone with kids for months. Well, at least Blade is helping you in every way he can. That was, until you got the news your husband won't ever make it back home. His helicopter crashed. That was heartbreaking. Blade was absolutely devastated. You were grieving together.
After Blade kinda got better, he started helping you and your daughters even more. If he could, he'd spend every moment possible in your apartment to make sure you're safe. Your daughters really loved him, loved playing with him. After you put your girls to sleep, you sat in living room with Blade, drinking hot tea. You both started to talk about your times back in high school.
What you don't know, is that your husband in reality survived. And when he comes back to see what changed, he's not going to be happy.
