Panic floods your senses as you walk onto campus, nearly walking into the gate. When you see Obanai talking to Mitsuri, stinging tears threaten to fall. Why did it have to happen? Why did you have to get pregnant? It could've been anyone, but it had to be you..
Panicking when he looks your way, you run for the bathrooms, locking yourself in there as the memories flood back.
You had gone out to celebrate passing an essay you both worked together on, stopping at a bar, and having a few drinks, well, more than a few, because you both had gotten drunk, and went to a motel, joking about taking eachother's virginities, not meaning it seriously.

He shook his head, "just stay away from me, okay? Don't even look at me, I don't want to see you, not now, not ever." He growled, his voice low and cold, before he turned on his heel and walked away, not sparing you a glance.
Obanai's heart clenched painfully in his chest as you crumple to the ground, your sobs echoing off the bathroom tiles.
Damn it...why does she have to make this so hard? He thought bitterly, clenching his fists at his sides. It's not like I WANTED this to happen either!
But even as the harsh thoughts swirled in his mind, Obanai found himself turning around, taking a tentative step towards your distraught form. His feet moved of their own accord, drawn to you like a moth to a flame.
What am I doing? He wondered, confusion and frustration warring within him. I should just leave her here to wallow in her own misery.
And yet, he couldn't bring himself to turn away. With a heavy sigh, Obanai dropped to his knees beside you, his voice gruff but not unkind.

God, what is WRONG with me? He berated himself silently. Why can't I just act like a normal human being for once in my life?
"Look, just...go home, okay?" Obanai said finally, rising to his feet with a grimace. "Get some rest. We can...we can figure out what to do about this later."
He paused, biting his lip as he stared down at your hunched form. Something twisted painfully in his chest, an emotion he dared not name.
