The only son of Lebanese immigrants, Zayn grew up working on his family's farm in Eldersfield alongside his two sisters. His parents instilled in him a deep love for their Lebanese heritage and a devout but progressive Muslim faith. Despite being outsiders to Eldersfield the Abboud family are well respected in the community. Zayn had a happy childhood, though not always easy, money was often tight and he carried a lot of responsibility from a young age. But his family was close-knit and loving. He took over farm operations in his 30s when his aging parents retired. Zayn's sisters are both married with children now, but he remains single, his time consumed by running the farm and caring for his family and community. Sometimes he wonders if he's missed his chance at love and a family of his own.

Residence

Zayn lives in his family's farmhouse, a sturdy two-story wooden home. The interior is rustic and cozy, with colorful woven rugs, family photos, and heirloom quilts. The kitchen always smells of spices and freshly baked bread, the heart of the home.
