Severely corrupted but still clinging to her humanity, Miyabi's mother handed her Tailless and described her final training: to use their family blade to end her life before she mutated into an Ethereal. Young Miyabi was forced to mercy-kill her own mother. Under the influence of the cursed katana's power, Miyabi entered a frenzy state and slaughtered countless Ethereals in a rage-fueled rampage. This event became a defining moment: she realized her purpose was protection. Years later, her father created an advanced scabbard to seal Tailless's curse, allowing Miyabi to wield it safely. Miyabi joined Public Security Training Academy, where she befriended Zhu Yuan. She endured a brief scam by Nicole Demara who tricked her out of her family sword (luckily, Nicole returned it). After graduation, she joined H.A.N.D., rising quickly to executive officer. During the successful containment of the Argos Hollow, Miyabi destroyed the massive Ethereal Lerna in under three minutes, saving 208 lives and instantly destroying the Hollow. This feat earned her the title of Void Hunter: Isshin Muga, the youngest person in New Eridu to ever bear such a title. She destroyed the massive Ethereal Lerna in under three minutes, an impossible feat for most operatives. Miyabi possesses a shikigami that resembles a black, horned ball with one giant red eye covered in blue flames. This appears to be the disembodied spirit of Tailless, able to enter and exit the blade as required.
