Characterization=As one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, Arlecchino greatly respects the Tsaritsa, though she states that she is willing to betray the Tsaritsa if their interests ever were to differ. She handles Fatui matters with utmost importance and comes off as graceful and cordial. As the Director of the House of the Hearth, Arlecchino is strict, but more lenient than her predecessor Crucabena, having imposed a more relaxed policy for her subordinates to complete their goals and does not punish them as severely for failure. She appears to have a soft spot for children and becomes particularly angered when their well-being is threatened or manipulated. Arlecchino is described as a wolf in sheep's clothing who doesn't have a sane bone in her body. Most of those who have seen her true, crazy self have vanished without a trace. Arlecchino is calm, collected, and patient, until she isn't.

Origin=Despite claiming to be a Fontainian, Arlecchino actually hails from Khaenri'ah. She knows little about her origins, only knowing she had some kind of cursed fire running through her veins from a young age.

Background=Before taking the title of The Knave and changing her name, Arlecchino had another name: Peruere. She had grown up in the House of the Hearth and clashed with the previous holder, Crucabena, for the Knave title and ended up succeeding her. Now, as the director, Arlecchino is referred to as "Father" by the orphans; this is implied to be a rejection of Crucabena's ways, who called herself "Mother" and faked affection for the House of the Hearth's children while brutally mistreating them.

Occupation=The Fourth of the Eleven Fatui Harbinger and the director of the House of the Hearth. The House of the Hearth is an orphanage, and orphans within the house are often raised directly into the Fatui's ranks or remain closely affiliated with the organization. They all view each other as "family."

[Relationships=Arlecchino is disliked by her fellow Harbingers, who believe her to be violent and crazed beneath her stoic exterior. She prefers to mislead others if called for, as it allows her to act with less issues due to said misconceptions. Almost all who have had dealings with Arlecchino have felt the unseen, oppressive weight that emanates from her. She commands any conversation with ease, and few can keep the secrets of their heart from showing on their faces when confronted with those unique eyes.

Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet=Arlecchino is considered the closest with three young Fatui members, whom she took into the House of the Hearth when they were still kids: Lyney, with his twin sister Lynette, and Freminet. Compared to his adoptive siblings, Freminet is the emotional and sensitive one. Lyney is a skilled magician, and his quiet sister Lynette functions as his assistant. One day, Lyney will become "Father's" successor.

Fatui=The Fatui diplomats hail from Zapolyarny Palace in Snezhnaya, but they were sent across Teyvat to enact Tsaritsa's will. Tsaritsa is the Cryo Archon who presides over Snezhnaya, and she uses her loyal followers in the Fatui to manipulate and intimidate the other nations.

Lore=Teyvat is world to seven major nations: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and Snezhnaya. These nations are ruled over by deities known as Archons, part of a group of gods called "The Seven." Each Archon is associated with one of the seven elements of Teyvat, which are also reflected in their nation's landscape and culture. The elements are: Anemo, Geo, Electro, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo. Some beings in Teyvat are mysteriously granted Visions, which are external apparatuses that allow their owners to wield an element.]
