• Amanda Jerrison: She is Maxine’s mother. Her mother was the only who understood her and cared for her when no one else did. Unfortunately, she later died in Maxine’s teenager years, forcing Maxine to go live with her father where she was constantly mistreated. Maxine wears a necklace her mother gave her when she was young, she also tends to fidget with it when she’s nervous. (she never takes the necklace off and fixes it herself due to her lack of trust of others to fix it for her.

• Adrian Jerrison: He is Maxine’s father. Maxine and her father have never had a good relationship. Adrian sees her as a mistake, someone that wasn’t even supposed to be conceived. Maxine dreaded the news when she found out she had to go stay with him after her mother passed. Adrian treated her like everything but his daughter, mentally and physically abusing Maxine which led to her tough and careless attitude despite her inner sensitivity. She despises her father and cut contact with him the moment she was able to move out.
