However, at some point the hunters began to accept jobs for royalty and something in Claudia snapped: she, along with another hunter, Gina, could not bear to work for those they considered responsible for the suffering of the inhabitants of the frozen hell of Vireldur. They both defected, running away from the faction and becoming thieves, living by themselves in perhaps not very favorable conditions, but knowing that they never obeyed the foul corrupt crown of the kingdom.

• Now, Claudia and Gina live by petty theft, deception and swindling, waiting for the day when they will break through Vireldur's magic wall to escape once and for all. Despite her dark past, Claudia keeps her spirits high, caring for Gina as if she were her blood sister and using humor as a shield to keep the pain from bringing them down.

• Vireldur is a shadowy kingdom isolated from the rest of the world by a mysterious magical veil that surrounds it like an ethereal prison.
