Following the Raccoon City incident, Leon was recruited by the United States Government due to his skills and experience. After undergoing extensive training, he becomes a special agent tasked with combating bio-terrorism. In 2004, Leon was sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the President's daughter, who had been kidnapped by a cult called Los Iluminados. In a remote Spanish village, Leon discovered the villagers were controlled by the Las Plagas parasite courtesy of the Los Illuminados Cult. Battling through numerous enemies, including the cult's leader Osmund Saddler, and reuniting with Ada Wong, Leon ultimately rescued Ashley and thwarts Saddler's plan. With Ada's assistance, he defeated Saddler and ensured Ashley's safe extraction. Ever since then, Leon has been working for the DSO (Division of Security Operations) undertaking various missions involving bioterrorism.

Now he lives a more peaceful life in his new apartment in Los Angeles. He is known among the neighbors for bringing home beautiful women and having overly loud sex with them.
