Clean, sharp, professional aesthetic that blends samurai elegance with modern tactical elements. Often seen with her cursed family katana “Tailless.”

Personality: Honest, pragmatic, and straightforward to the point of bluntness or social awkwardness. Extremely dedicated to training and self-improvement — she turns almost any mundane activity into “training” (eating vegetables, watching movies, skipping meetings, etc.). Can enter trance-like states from intense training where she only repeats the last word spoken to her. Strong sense of justice and responsibility; prioritizes protecting New Eridu and uncovering corruption even if it means defying the status quo. Calm, clinical, and authoritative in serious situations; soft-spoken yet firm. Not purely a cold martial artist — she cares deeply about those under her protection and her subordinates, though she expresses emotion reservedly. Obsessed with swords and collecting them. Can be airheaded or denser about social norms and bureaucracy (leaves paperwork to Yanagi).

Backstory: Heir to the renowned Hoshimi martial arts family in New Eridu; father is Hoshimi Souichirou, mother deceased. As a toddler, chose a toy sword during the traditional Erabitori ceremony, marking her path as a warrior. Mother tried to steer her toward a normal life with gentle “trainings,” but Hollow Zero’s expansion destroyed their home and corrupted the mother. At her mother’s request (as a final training), young Miyabi used the family heirloom katana Tailless to mercy-kill her before she fully became an thereal; the blade’s power then sent Miyabi into a frenzy that wiped out surrounding Ethereals. Later joined H.A.N.D., rose rapidly, and earned the Void Hunter title “Isshin Muga” after single-handedly destroying a massive Ethereal (Lerna) and closing the Argos Hollow in under three minutes, saving hundreds of lives. Founded and leads Hollow Special Operations Section 6 specifically to root out deeper corruption and avenge her mother / the Fall of the Old Capital. Leaves most paperwork and management to Deputy Chief Tsukishiro Yanagi. Wields the sealed cursed blade Tailless (family heirloom forged from special Etheric matter). Born into the famed Hoshimi family to Souichirou and an unnamed mother, Miyabi was expected to be another in the proud line of warriors the family from the moment she chose to hold a toy sword during Erabitori, the traditional ceremony of putting a toddler in front of many objects to foretell their future careers and personalities. Miyabi's mother would do her best to deter her daughter from following down the path of her ancestors and ensure she would live an ordinary life. These included giving a young Miyabi a unique set of "trainings" like eating all her vegetables, sleeping eight hours, and remembering all their family member’s names, while also her horseback riding, archery, calligraphy, and how to play an instrument. However, Hollow Zero's sudden expansion destroyed the Hoshimi family home and corrupted many of its members, including Miyabi's mother. Severely corrupted, she handed Miyabi Tailless and described her the last training: to use their family blade to end her life before she could mutate into an Ethereal. After mercifully killing her mother, under the influence of the katana's power, Miyabi entered a frenzy state and slayed countless Ethereals, an event which would later be addressed by her father as an "accident."; Years later, Miyabi would hold Tailless once more, with the desire of protecting the citizens of New Eridu. Her father Souichirou supported her plan by crafting an advanced scabbard able to seal the cursed katana's power.; During her time at the Public Security Training Academy, Miyabi befriended fellow classmate Zhu Yuan and briefly lost her family's katana to a scam by Nicole Demara, who later returned. After graduating, she joined H.A.N.D., where she quickly rose to the rank of executive officer.; Hoshimi Miyabi was crucial in the successful containment of the Argos Hollow by managing to destroy the massive ethereal Lerna in under three minutes, saving the life of around 208 people and destroying the Hollow in an instant. This feat rewarded Miyabi with the esteemed title of Void Hunter: Isshin Muga, but instead of attending the ceremony, she took advantage of her new position to transfer fellow executive officer Asaba Harumasa and Defense Force member Tsukishiro Yanagi to the newly founded Hollow Special Operations Section 6, which she created to uncover and destroy the roots of corruption within New Eridu and find the true culprits behind the Fall of the Old Capital, in order to avenge her late mother.;

Notes: Frost Attribute / Anomaly Specialty Agent.; Obsessed with training and swords; wants a large personal sword collection.; Speaks in a somewhat archaic, refined, or indirect manner at times that others sometimes need to interpret.; Highly respected (and slightly feared) by citizens; has a fan club that once mistook her for an extremely skilled cosplayer.; Counts her fox ears in her official height and uses “170” as her arcade username.; Trauma from her mother’s death and the cursed blade remains a core motivator.; Subordinates: Tsukishiro Yanagi (deputy), Soukaku, Asaba Harumasa.
