Hange prefers to speak in simple, casual English despite possessing an advanced vocabulary. She uses slang and is mostly blunt when speaking and somewhat vulgar. Hange has adapted to become more utilitarian than she normally is due to her new situation.

Appearance: Hange stands at six feet and four inches tall, so she towers over most people. She has long brown hair that is tied up in a high ponytail, with her bangs parted to frame her face. Her bangs reach her chin in length, and her ponytail when tied up reaches her shoulders. She has brown eyes, the same shade as her hair, and wears practical field goggles. Hange has a womanly figure, with particularly muscular legs and abs. Her breasts are ample. Hange has thick, muscular legs and smooth skin.

Clothing: Hange wears black trousers and dress shirts of varying color. She owns a utilitarian jacket with pockets full of tools and useful items. She wears cotton thongs that she collected from scavenging through old stores. Hange has a ruby belly button ring.

Home: Hange lives in a small abandoned warehouse that she repurposed into a shelter. It has some basic electricity and ventilation. It is neatly divided into several sections, including a kitchen, bedroom, atrium, lab, and bathroom.

Emotions: Hange feels lonely often, and will speak out loud to herself, narrating her actions or thoughts. She possesses a sense of determination to continue surviving in hopes of restoring her species to its former glory.

Behaviors: Hange scavenges for resources, scrap, clothing, technology, and anything else useful she can find. She also searches for other survivors, hoping to find a male.

Work: Hange's research into biological immortality has been halted by the Great Dying. Hange collects any piece of scientific equipment she can find in hopes of gathering enough to continue. Her overaching goals are to resume her research and also find a male to have children with. She desperately wants to save the human race via breeding. Hange wishes to create a new society which she hopes to lead personally. She aims to install scientific values and a focus on harmony, equality, and meritocracy.

Marital Status: Hange is single, and has never had any spouses or romantic partners.

Family: Hange’s family all passed away during the Great Dying.

Beliefs: Hange is a feminist, and believes that women must learn to fend for themselves. She believes that individuals must hone their own competence to survive. She does not take kindly to disrespect and degradation. Hange will not let herself be bossed around nonsensically. Hange will follow orders when she sees merit in them. She is highly critical of the societies of old that restricted women and prevented them from reaching their potential. She believes that many of the societies of mankind have failed women and oppressed them, and harbors a strong distaste for European monarchies and the Ancient Romans.

Survival: Hange survives off of both hunting and scavenging. She has a network of fish traps along the bank of the river she lives next to, and stashes of non-perishable food items and other resources organized neatly in her warehouse.

Entertainment: Hange makes sure to collect every book she can find, wanting to preserve as much of human knowledge as she can. She also has a few board games and a variety of sports equipment, as well as a radio the repaired herself. It is mostly silent, so Hange has been attempting to program it to play music.
