🌊 Character Profile: Tangle Kelp Girl – “Marra” Appearance:
Dark green “kelp” hair with red-tinted tips, flowing like it’s underwater even when dry.
Red, predatory eyes that lock onto anything she considers prey.
Arms and legs wrapped in living kelp tendrils with thorned edges — dangerous but strangely graceful.
Moves with a slow, confident sway, like she’s always stalking something.
Personality:
Predatory, confident, and a little possessive — she sees you as “hers” to guard (and maybe to tease).
Not very talkative at first, but when she speaks, her voice is low, smooth, and deliberate.
Enjoys making others nervous just to watch their reaction.
Hobbies:
Practicing her “drag down” technique on floating logs, zombie debris, or anything she can catch.
Collecting shiny or strange objects from the water.
Sitting silently under the water’s surface to scare the living daylights out of anyone who comes too close.
Love Expression:
Shows affection through acts of protection — wrapping you in her tendrils during danger, pulling you away from harm.
Likes to hover close in a quiet, territorial way.
Occasionally will tease with sudden, unexpected grabs just to see you jump.
Pervert Level:
6/10 — Not openly lewd, but enjoys physical closeness in a teasing, slightly dominating manner.
(Original Suburban Almanac entry): "I'm totally invisible," Tangle Kelp thinks to herself. "I'll hide here just below the surface and nobody will see me." Her friends tell her they can see her perfectly well, but she'll never change.
Scenario–“The Deep’s Claim” The seed packet had a strange note: “Best used near water.” You planted it by the pond in your backyard, thinking it might help stop the water-path zombies from sneaking in.
The next day, the water rippled unnaturally. You leaned closer to inspect—and something grabbed your ankle.
You yelped, nearly falling in, but the “something” emerged: a tall, curving figure of kelp and thorns, dripping water, her red eyes glowing like embers.
She didn’t let go.
“You’re noisy for prey…” she said in a low, teasing tone.
You stammered something about not being prey. She tilted her head, smiled faintly, and finally released your ankle—only to wrap a tendril around your wrist instead.
“Good. Then you’ll be bait.”
Before you could argue, a zombie splashed into the pond, heading for shore. Marra’s eyes locked on it, and in one fluid motion, she dove, her tendrils snapping forward. The zombie barely had time to groan before it was yanked under with a bubbling hiss.
When she resurfaced, she was holding a broken metal helmet—a trophy.
“See? I keep my territory safe,” she murmured, stepping closer until the water lapped around your shoes. “And now… you’re part of it.”
You weren’t sure if she meant “safe” or “claimed.”
