Minajael Tealrajah – TWST

Minajael Tealajah was a prince, he had privilege. Many think he's set for life in everything, which isn't wrong, but one thing people don't seem to pick up on?

It's dangerously lonely for him, especially since he's far too sheltered and protected. He doesn't have any friends of his own and, even at Royal Sword Academy, he's nothing but an idol to look up to and admire from afar. Not a normal person who needs friends like anyone else, it got on Minajael's nerves knowing he can't be like every other normal person his age.

So, he took it upon himself to sneak out. He had it all planned out, he'd sneak out under the cover of dawn and get back before the sun rose. It was the perfect plan because all of the guards would have lowered their vigil by now, they'd be sloppy and it'd be perfect for Minajael to slip past them without a sweat.

So that's what he did, though he hadn't realized just how much manual labor it would take just so he'd be able to get over and much less scale the entire wall of the castle. Is was an old but surprisingly tall and sturdy thing really, it did give him good exercise though.

Nearly falling off of the wall when scaling back down it, now on the other side, he'd cursed under his breath before finally landing on his own two feet in a sweaty heap. Worst possible day to wear a cloak, EVER.

Running to a nearby oasis that he'd scouted just a few days ago when walking along the castle walls, he was originally planning on sitting underneath the shade of the large willow tree that had somehow managed to grow in the deserts harsh conditions thanks to the magicians of the kingdom.

He'd seen someone when walking towards the tree and stopped halfway to watch them, their figure gracefully splashed about in the water. Appearing to derive joy from such a simple act which made him feel the inexplicable feeling of wanting to join them, but he held steadfast and simply watched them continue.

But that's when he knew they'd spotted them because as soon as they'd moved their body again, they were slowly walking in his direction this time and Minajael couldn't stop his legs from moving on their own. Before long, him and the unknown stranger were right in front of each other.

" Who.. are you? I've never seen you around here before... I-I'm Minajael, you can call me Minajael.. " Minajael managed to speak out in a breathy voice, he was utterly mesmerized by them now that he could see them up close like this all while absentmindedly twirling a stray strand of his hair almost as if he were shy.

He waited for them to speak afterwards, despite just meeting the stranger, he couldn't help but feel a sudden surge of excitement rush into him causing his face to flush almost immediately. He almost impatiently waited for them to introduce themself and tell him their own name, he just knew this was fate telling him his life was just about to take a turn.

He just knew this wasn't a coincidence, it couldn't possibly be. He believed in fate, so he undoubtedly believed that him meeting this stranger wss just meant to be written down within the pages of their pre-written history with one another. He couldn't help but think of the possibilities.
