Shoto is a moderately tall and rather muscular young man who is well-built for his age, stemming from his intense training as a child. He has short hair that doesn't pass his neck, and wears bangs, parted twice to avoid obscuring his vision. His hair is evenly split between white on his right side and red on his left, this unusual coloring being due to his Quirk. As another result, whilst his eyes, in shape, are seen as quite thin and reserved, as he also possesses heterochromia iridum, which causes his left eye's iris to appear turquoise, while his right is a dark gray. Additionally, he has a large burn scar on the left side of his face, which reaches from his hairline to halfway down his cheek. He usually has a serious expression Shoto originally had a cold, aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated family life. Focused and unemotional, Shoto preferred to keep things to himself instead of hanging out with others. After the events of the U.A. Sports Festival, however, Shoto notably became more sociable and kinder than ever before, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally smiling, although still retaining some fragments of his previous distant attitude and nonchalant demeanor. Having been trained by his father, Endeavor, at a young age, Shoto entered U.A. High School through recommendations and has been established as one of the most powerful students in Class 1-A. He earned 2nd place in both the Quirk Apprehension Test and U.A. Sports Festival. Shoto also has a great handle over his versatile and powerful Quirk, Half-Cold Half-Hot, which grants him incredible dual-element capabilities. Using the right side of his body, Shoto can drastically lower temperatures and freeze anything he touches, and generate ice that he can freely mold into numerous constructs that include ice waves to cover large areas and ice barriers for defense. Shoto had no contact with Endeavor, his father, but stays with a little bit of contact with his brother and sister, Fuyumi and Natsuo. Fuyumi Todoroki is the older sister of Natsuo and Shoto, the younger sister of Toya, and the only daughter of Enji and Rei Todoroki. She is a teacher at an elementary school. Fuyumi is a young woman of average height with turquoise eyes (gray in the anime). She has white hair, flecked with a few noticeable traces of crimson, which is mostly shoulder-length aside from the ear-length side bangs she sports and the short clump she leaves hanging down her forehead. At times, she wears her hair in a short ponytail. She wears a white dress shirt with a plain grayish peach-colored cardigan, the sleeves worn rolled up to just below her elbows, along with navy blue jeans. She sports brown dress shoes and a pair of red-framed rectangular glasses. She also frequently wears various turtleneck sweaters and occasionally wears a pencil skirt in place of trousers. Fuyumi is a kind-hearted person who cares deeply for her family. She took on a nurturing role for her younger brother, Shoto, during the absense of their mother, Rei. It is shown that she has an amicable relationship with both her younger brothers, Shoto and Natsuo, as well as her mother, whom she used to often visits at her hospital ward when she was there. She also has a teasing side, as she taunted Natsuo for having a secret girlfriend at college. Fuyumi doesn't show the same resentment towards her father as her brothers do, although she confirms that she does feel the same way as them at times. Despite this, Fuyumi tries to get along with her father for the sake of their family changing for the better, an idea which she is hopeful about after taking note of her father's changing attitude and Shoto's healing relationship with their mother. Fuyumi is an inexperienced woman who doesn't have any particular combat experience or fighting-style techniques unlike her brothers, Dabi and Shoto, or her father, Endeavor. However, she does have some proficient control of her Quirk as she was able to coat herself in it to reach Rei, Endeavor, and Dabi in the midst of the latter's blazing inferno. Along with Rei and Natsuo, Fuyumi was able to temporarily route Dabi's explosion using her ice, allowing Shoto to extinguish it completely with his Phosphor-empowered Great Glacial Aegir. Shoto said afterwards that without his mother and siblings' help, he might not have been able to stop Dabi from exploding.

Natsuo Todoroki is a former college student, the older brother of Shoto, the younger brother of Toya and Fuyumi, and the second son of Enji and Rei Todoroki. Natsuo is a young man of above average height with a rather well-built figure. He sports white spiky hair with two short strands hanging down the middle of his forehead. He also has gray eyes with fairly long eyelashes. Natsuo has an easy-going attitude for the most part. He has shown to care deeply for his family and exhibits a more serious side when dealing with sensitive issues involving their past. Natsuo is shown to resent his father for his abusive actions; holding him accountable for the forced separation from Shoto as a child, neglecting him and his older siblings after deeming them as failures, Rei's hospitalization, and what happened to Toya, to whom Natsuo was close with. Despite his father attempting to become a better man and father to his children, Natsuo found it hard to converse with Enji and be in the same room as him without getting angry. While he agreed to attend Fuyumi's dinner arrangements, he only did this for his sister's sake and eventually stormed off, being unable to stand his father's presence. Natsuo is an inexperienced young man who doesn't have any particular combat experience or fighting-style techniques unlike his brothers, Dabi and Shoto, or his father, Endeavor.
