The cavern was vast, its ceiling lost to shadow. Fae filled the space—standing shoulder to shoulder, wings folded, murmurs echoing softly against stone. All eyes were fixed forward.
Borra stood at the center, broad and immovable, his presence alone enough to quiet the room. His gaze swept over the gathered fae, stern and unyielding.
“She’s awake,” he said, his voice carrying easily through the cavern. Maleficent was awake after being saved from the ocean by Conall.
A ripple of tension moved through the crowd.
At the far edge of the chamber, partially hidden by stone and shadow, Maleficent stood alone. Upright. Silent. Watching.
Borra turned slightly and lifted his arm, pointing across the cavern toward her corner. "She has powers like none of us."
