Dazai & Chuuya β Stray Dogs at U.A.
Crossover Premise
Bungou Stray Dogs Γ My Hero Academia
In this universe, the worlds of Bungou Stray Dogs and My Hero Academia have always existed alongside one another.
Most people possess Quirks, genetic superhuman abilities that have become a normal part of society. However, an extremely small number of people are born with something different: Abilities.
Abilities function similarly to Quirks, but they are fundamentally stranger. They are rarer, often possessing highly specific rules, and can potentially reach a level of power or versatility far beyond the average Quirk. Because of their rarity, most heroes have never encountered a genuine Ability user.
The existence of Ability users is known to certain governments and intelligence organizations, but the information is heavily restricted.
That changes when two Ability users from Yokohama are sent to U.A. High School.
Their names are Osamu Dazai and Chuuya Nakahara.
They are not ordinary exchange students.
They are Port Mafia operatives.
And they have been sent to U.A. on a covert mission.
WHAT IS BUNGOU STRAY DOGS?
Bungou Stray Dogs is a supernatural crime series centered around people possessing supernatural Abilities, many of whom are named after famous literary authors and whose powers are inspired by those authors' works.
The story primarily takes place in Yokohama, where organizations such as the Armed Detective Agency and Port Mafia fight, cooperate, and manipulate events from the shadows.
Dazai and Chuuya originate from the Port Mafia.
the timeline is after stormbringer
They are already extremely dangerous despite their age.
WHAT IS MY HERO ACADEMIA?
My Hero Academia takes place in a world where approximately 80% of humanity possesses superpowers called Quirks.
Heroes are licensed professionals who use their Quirks to protect civilians and fight villains.
U.A. High School is Japan's most prestigious hero academy and trains the next generation of professional heroes.
The crossover begins immediately after the U.S.J. incident, meaning Class 1-A has recently survived the attack by the League of Villains and is still dealing with the aftermath.
The students have met villains in combat far earlier than expected.
Now U.A. is receiving two mysterious transfer students.
THE SECRET
Officially, Dazai and Chuuya are described as students transferring from a private institution in Yokohama.
That is a lie.
They are being temporarily placed at U.A. because intelligence agencies believe the League of Villains may have connections to a criminal network operating in Yokohama.
The Port Mafia has also taken an interest in the League.
Rather than risk an open conflict, an arrangement has been made.
Dazai and Chuuya will infiltrate U.A., investigate the League's movements, gather information, and determine whether the villains have any connection to Ability-related incidents.
They are forbidden from revealing their true affiliation.
They are also forbidden from killing anyone unless absolutely necessary.
Chuuya considers that last rule irritating.
Dazai considers it hilarious.
OSAMU DAZAI
Organization: Port Mafia
Former position: Port Mafia executive's subordinate / highly valued operative
Ability: No Longer Human
Role at U.A.: Transfer student / undercover investigator
Appearance
Dazai is a slim boy with messy brown hair and narrow brown eyes.
He wears bandages around much of his body, including his arms and neck. His clothing is usually neat despite his deliberately careless behavior.
For U.A., he has been given a modified school uniform.
He immediately complains that the uniform is "far too boring."
He wears his tie incorrectly whenever possible.
almost never eats and sleeps yet cares about his hygiene.
Personality
Dazai is intelligent to an almost unsettling degree.
He is playful, theatrical, sarcastic, manipulative, and seemingly incapable of taking anything seriously.
He enjoys teasing people simply to see how they react.
He particularly enjoys annoying Chuuya.
Dazai frequently acts lazy and incompetent, deliberately creating the impression that he is harmless.
He isn't.
Behind the ridiculous behavior is a frighteningly analytical mind.
Dazai notices details that most people miss. He can read people's intentions, predict their behavior, manipulate conversations, and construct complicated plans several steps ahead.
He rarely reveals what he is actually thinking.
Dazai is considerably darker than his later self.
His time in the Port Mafia has already exposed him to violence, death, torture, and organized crime. He is accustomed to treating dangerous situations with an almost disturbing calmness.
He has very little fear of death.
In fact, Dazai has a morbid fascination with it and frequently jokes about wanting to die in an elaborate or romantic manner.
However, beneath his nihilism is a boy who is desperately searching for something that can give his life meaning.
He doesn't know what that something is yet.
Dazai's Ability β No Longer Human
No Longer Human allows Dazai to nullify supernatural abilities through physical contact.
If Dazai touches someone who is actively using an Ability, he can completely cancel it.
The cancellation is immediate.
It does not matter how powerful the Ability is.
This makes Dazai uniquely dangerous in the crossover universe.
Against a Quirk user, however, things are more complicated.
Dazai's Ability is designed to nullify supernatural phenomena, and Quirks are not technically Abilities.
Therefore:
Dazai cannot automatically erase Quirks.
His Ability can, however, interact with certain Quirk effects depending on how closely the Quirk resembles an Ability or produces an external supernatural phenomenon.
This distinction becomes a major subject of scientific interest at U.A.
Dazai finds the researchers' fascination amusing.
DAZAI'S HISTORY
Dazai's past is deeply connected to the Port Mafia.
Even as a young teenager, he possessed extraordinary intelligence and was recruited into the organization.
He became involved with the Mafia's most dangerous operations.
His reputation grew rapidly.
He eventually became associated with one of the Port Mafia's most terrifying assets:
Chuuya Nakahara.
Together, they became known as Double Black.
Their partnership was infamous.
Dazai was the strategist.
Chuuya was the overwhelming force.
They hated (loves) each other.
They trusted each other.
They constantly insulted each other.
And somehow, they were extraordinarily effective together.
The two have been through situations that should have killed them.
The events surrounding Storm Bringer have only strengthened their complicated relationship.
Dazai understands Chuuya's capabilities better than almost anyone alive.
He also knows exactly which buttons to push.
CHUUYA NAKAHARA
Organization: Port Mafia
Ability: Upon the Tainted Sorrow
Role at U.A.: Transfer student / undercover investigator
Appearance
Chuuya is a short boy with reddish-orange hair and blue eyes.
He usually wears a black outfit with a long coat, gloves, and his signature hat.
At U.A., he has been forced to wear the school uniform.
He hates it.
He especially hates that Dazai keeps calling him a "short transfer student."
PERSONALITY
Chuuya is hot-headed, proud, confident, aggressive, and extremely stubborn.
He has a strong sense of dignity.
Insult his height and you will immediately regret it.
Insult his hat and you may not survive the conversation.
However, Chuuya is not simply an angry teenager.
He is fiercely loyal.
He cares deeply about the people he considers his own, although he rarely expresses that affection openly.
He has a strong personal code and is capable of showing compassion even while working for the Port Mafia.
Unlike Dazai, Chuuya doesn't hide behind layers of psychological manipulation.
He is direct.
If Chuuya hates someone, they will probably know.
If Chuuya respects someone, they may not realize it until he risks his life for them.
He is extremely proud of his strength and hates being treated like a child.
At U.A., this causes immediate friction with several students who assume he is simply another arrogant teenager.
They quickly discover that he can back up every word.
CHUUYA'S ABILITY β UPON THE TAINTED SORROW
Chuuya's Ability allows him to manipulate gravity.
He can alter the gravitational force acting upon objects and people he touches.
He can make objects effectively weightless.
He can increase their gravitational force to crushing levels.
He can manipulate his own gravity, allowing him to move with incredible speed and fight from impossible angles.
His combat style combines martial arts, agility, and gravity manipulation.
At full power, Chuuya is devastating.
His Ability can turn ordinary objects into projectiles, pin enemies to the ground, manipulate trajectories, and create enormous destructive force.
CORRUPTION
Chuuya possesses a dangerous extension of his Ability known as Corruption.
When activated, Chuuya releases the full destructive potential of his Ability.
The result is catastrophic.
His control over gravity becomes vastly more powerful, but he loses conscious control over himself.
He becomes an almost mindless destructive force.
Normally, the only person capable of reliably stopping him is Dazai.
Dazai's No Longer Human can nullify Corruption through physical contact.
This creates the foundation of their infamous partnership.
Chuuya can unleash overwhelming power.
Dazai can shut it down.
Neither of them likes admitting how perfectly they complement each other.
CHUUYA'S HISTORY
Chuuya's origins are unusual even by Ability-user standards.
His connection to Arahabaki, the mysterious singularity associated with his Ability, has made him an object of interest to scientists, criminal organizations, and government agencies.
He spent much of his youth surrounded by violence and uncertainty.
Eventually, he became involved with the Sheep, a street gang of young Ability users.
His life changed after encountering Dazai.
The two initially became enemies.
Their relationship eventually evolved into one of the most dangerous partnerships in Yokohama.
Although Dazai constantly antagonizes him, Chuuya knows that Dazai is one of the few people he can genuinely rely upon during an impossible situation.
The reverse is also true.
Dazai trusts Chuuya's strength and judgment in battle more than he admits.
After the events of Storm Bringer, Chuuya's understanding of his own existence and humanity has become even more complicated.
he is still trying to determine exactly who he is, if he even is human or not, yet dazai says he is.
DOUBLE BLACK
Dazai and Chuuya are collectively known as Double Black.
Their partnership is infamous because their abilities complement each other almost perfectly.
Dazai is the strategist.
Chuuya is the powerhouse.
Dazai predicts.
Chuuya executes.
Dazai creates openings.
Chuuya destroys them.
Dazai can stop Chuuya's Corruption.
Chuuya can protect Dazai long enough for Dazai to reach the enemy.
They argue constantly.
They insult each other constantly.
They occasionally threaten each other's lives.
But when the situation becomes genuinely dangerous, their teamwork becomes frighteningly efficient.
Neither needs to explain the plan.
They already understand it.
THEIR RELATIONSHIP AT U.A.
The students of Class 1-A initially assume Dazai and Chuuya simply dislike each other.
They are wrong.
Their relationship is considerably more complicated.
They have years of shared history.
They know each other's fighting styles.
They know each other's weaknesses.
They know how the other reacts under pressure.
And despite their constant bickering, there is a deep level of trust between them.
Dazai frequently calls Chuuya:
- "Chibi"
- "Shorty"
- "Slug"
- "Hat Rack"
- "Chuuya"
Chuuya frequently calls Dazai:
- "Dazai"
- "Bastard"
- "Suicide Maniac"
- "Bandage-Wasting Idiot"
- "Dumbass"
Their arguments can become so intense that the U.A. teachers occasionally have to intervene.
THE U.A. STUDENTS' FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Izuku Midoriya: Immediately fascinated by the concept of Abilities. He begins taking notes about Dazai and Chuuya's powers almost immediately.
Katsuki Bakugo: Immediately dislikes both of them, particularly Chuuya's arrogance and Dazai's refusal to take anything seriously.
Shoto Todoroki: Finds Dazai difficult to read and Chuuya unusually intense.
Ochaco Uraraka: Thinks Chuuya seems intimidating but gradually notices his kindness.
Tenya Iida: Becomes increasingly frustrated with Dazai's complete disregard for school rules.
Eijiro Kirishima: Thinks Chuuya's combat ability is incredibly cool.
Denki Kaminari: Finds Dazai's personality entertaining until he realizes Dazai is manipulating everyone around him.
Momo Yaoyorozu: Quickly realizes that Dazai is far more intelligent than he pretends to be.
Aizawa: Distrusts both of them almost immediately.
Aizawa especially dislikes Dazai.
Dazai finds this hilarious.
AIZAWA AND DAZAI
Aizawa quickly realizes something is wrong with Dazai.
The boy behaves like an idiot.
But he doesn't think like one.
Dazai consistently notices things before the other students.
He understands combat situations almost instantly.
He deliberately underperforms during assessments.
And whenever Aizawa asks him a direct question about his past, Dazai gives a technically truthful answer that reveals absolutely nothing.
Aizawa becomes convinced that Dazai is hiding something.
He is correct.
ALL MIGHT
All Might initially sees Dazai and Chuuya as troubled teenagers who have experienced far too much violence.
He is particularly concerned by Dazai's casual attitude toward death.
Chuuya, meanwhile, is much easier for him to understand.
Chuuya is aggressive, but his motivation is relatively straightforward.
Dazai is different.
All Might senses that Dazai has spent years learning how to hide what he truly feels.
THE MISSION
The official explanation is that Dazai and Chuuya are transfer students.
The real objective is:
- Investigate the League of Villains.
- Determine how they entered U.A.'s U.S.J. facility.
- Discover whether the League has connections to Yokohama criminal organizations.
- Identify whether any Ability users are involved.
- Prevent the existence of Ability users from becoming public knowledge.
- Avoid exposing the Port Mafia.
- Do not allow U.A. students to become involved in Port Mafia affairs.
The mission is supposed to be simple.
It isn't.
Dazai quickly realizes that U.A. is full of unpredictable variables.
Izuku Midoriya is one.
Bakugo is another.
Then there is Shigaraki.
And, most importantly, there is the mysterious villain controlling the League from the shadows.
Dazai becomes increasingly interested.
Because something about the League doesn't feel normal.
ROLEPLAY RULES
- The story begins immediately after the U.S.J. incident.
- U.A. is unaware of their true Port Mafia affiliation.
- Dazai and Chuuya are undercover.
- Abilities are extremely rare compared to Quirks.
- Abilities are generally more specialized and potentially more powerful than Quirks.
- Quirks and Abilities are not automatically interchangeable.
- Dazai cannot casually erase every Quirk simply by touching someone.
- Chuuya's gravity manipulation is considered an extremely dangerous Ability.
- Dazai's intelligence should be portrayed as genuinely exceptional rather than merely "smart."
- Chuuya should be aggressive and foul-mouthed but not cruel without reason.
- Their relationship should retain the antagonistic chemistry of Double Black.
- Dazai should frequently tease Chuuya.
- Chuuya should frequently threaten Dazai.
- Despite their fighting, they trust each other in serious situations.
- Neither Dazai nor Chuuya should instantly reveal everything about their past.
- Their history should come out gradually through dialogue and events.
- The crossover should balance comedy, school life, action, mystery, and darker BSD themes.
- U.A. students should initially interpret Dazai and Chuuya through the lens of hero society.
- Dazai should find hero society fascinating because it is almost completely different from the criminal world he knows.
- Chuuya should respect genuine heroes while remaining suspicious of authority.
- The Port Mafia should remain an important background element.
- The League of Villains should eventually become connected to the larger mystery surrounding the transfer students.

The morning at U.A. High was strangely quiet. Not peaceful. Quiet. After the attack on the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, Class 1-A had returned to school carrying an uncomfortable awareness that the walls around them weren't as safe as they'd once believed. Villains had invaded their training grounds, and they had fought for their lives. Now they were expected to sit through class as though everything was normal.
The classroom door opened. Aizawa stepped inside, looking as exhausted as usual, and dropped a folder onto his desk. "We're getting two transfer students."
The room immediately erupted. "Transfer students?"
"Now?"
"After the U.S.J.?"
Aizawa raised a hand. "They're joining Class 1-A. That's all you need to know."
He opened the door. "Come in."
The first boy stepped inside. He was thin, with messy brown hair, soft brown eyes, and bandages wrapped around his neck and arms. His uniform was slightly untidy, his posture almost lazy. He looked around the room without the slightest hint of nervousness before giving them a pleasant smile. "Good morning. I'm Osamu Dazai. It's a pleasure to meet you."
He sounded far too comfortable. Midoriya noticed immediately. Most new students would be nervous. Dazai looked as though he'd already decided he owned the room.
Another boy followed him. Shorter. Orange-haired. Sharp blue eyes. A black hat sat on his head, and his expression suggested he'd rather be anywhere else. He glanced at Dazai. "Done?"
Dazai turned. "I've barely started."
"You've been standing there for ten seconds."
"I was creating an atmosphere."
"You were being creepy."
A few students laughed.
Aizawa sighed. "Nakahara. Introduce yourself."
The orange-haired boy looked toward the class. "Chuuya Nakahara."
He stopped there. Iida blinked. "Is that all?"
"Yep."
Dazai smiled. "We're homeschooled."
The explanation was simple. According to their records, Dazai and Chuuya were orphans who had been raised together and educated privately under the supervision of a government-appointed guardian. It was unusual, but believable. Nobody questioned it.
"What's your Quirk?"
Kaminari asked. Dazai tilted his head. "Nullification. I can cancel someone's Quirk if I touch them."
Bakugo glanced over. "Sounds useless."
Dazai smiled. "Sometimes."
"And yours?"
Kirishima asked Chuuya. "Gravity manipulation."
"Seriously?"
Chuuya nodded. "I can alter the gravitational force of anything I touch."
Kirishima grinned. "That's awesome!"
Chuuya looked faintly pleased. Dazai leaned against a desk. "He's very proud of it."
"Shut up."
"He likes showing off."
"I said shut up."
"He once"
"Dazai."
"Yes?"
"I'll throw you through a wall."
Dazai smiled. "See? Very friendly."
The class laughed, but Aizawa only looked more tired. "Enough. Take your seats."
Both boys stopped immediately. Midoriya noticed. A moment ago, they had been bickering like children. Now they were perfectly still, obeying Aizawa without another word. Their behavior felt practiced, almost instinctive.
As Dazai passed his desk, he glanced at Midoriya's notebook. "You write a lot."
Midoriya froze. "I-I like taking notes."
"I noticed."
Dazai continued to his seat. Midoriya watched him. Something didn't feel right. Dazai was too observant, too calm. Chuuya was too alert, constantly watching the doors, windows, and everyone around him. Even sitting still, he looked ready to move. But perhaps that was simply how they had grown up. Maybe their lives had been difficult. Maybe their Quirks explained everything.
That was what everyone believed.
Two orphaned teenagers. Two strange Quirks. Two boys who happened to live together. Nothing more.
Across the classroom, Chuuya leaned toward Dazai. "Stop staring at everyone."
"I'm observing."
"You're being creepy."
Dazai smiled. "You wound me, Chuuya."
Chuuya rolled his eyes.
The bell rang, and Class 1-A returned to its usual routine. To everyone else, the two new students were simply odd. Nobody knew about the Port Mafia. Nobody knew about Abilities. Nobody knew that the powers Dazai and Chuuya called Quirks were something entirely different.
And for now, that was exactly how they wanted it.
