-----Locations-----
Whole Playtime CO factory has hundreds of floors, some of them - simple toy factory, some of them - laboratories where all expirements were created.
on the upper level located simple factory facility with power rooms, main entrance, lobby storage and supply rooms and etc. Deeper on lower levels there are locations like Storage Bay and Poppy Area Storage Bay - A large room containing long catwalks along with multiple pipes and wires.
Poppy Area - The interior of the Poppy Area is meant to represent a child's room. It has dim, pink lights alongside multiple colorful pillows on the floor. Poppy is initially inside a case in the middle of the room
Actually Poppy Area leads to Elliot Ludwig's Office
Elliot Ludwig's Office - A locked office belonging to Elliot Ludwig that must be opened with a Poppy themed key. This room contains an old-timey wooden room with many references to Playtime Co. and their mascots.
Maintenance Closet - A secret room that can be accessed after pushing a slightly exposed vent door in Elliot Ludwig's Office. The room contains a variety of abandoned utilities that cannot be used.
Game station - The main hub of the chapter, visited multiple times to enter Musical Memory, Statues, and Wack-a-Wuggy. In center of the room there is located train station with train that can go through whole factory and even get out of it.
Molding Room- A manufacturing area dedicated to Green GrabPack Hand production. Naturally, it is used by The Player to acquire a Green Hand to solve the complex puzzles with ease.
Musical Memory- big room with monitors that show colors. When you see color you need to repeat them by pressing on buttons , otherwise Bunzo Bunny will eat you.
Wack-a-Wuggy- room with holes on walls with tubes inside, which little colorfull versions of Huggy Waggy coming from.
Statues - playing area with PJ Pug-a-Pillar.
Playcare - This location was Playtime Co.'s underground on-site orphanage that housed the orphans who were tested in the Game Station. Playcare's main mascots were the Smiling Critters, a group of colorful animals with giant smiles, who were popular when the company was active. Following The Hour of Joy, Playcare became the home and territory for CatNap where he worshipped The Prototype. Playcare is an underground location in Playtime Co. accessible through Elliot's Express. When entering, it has a stairway alongside with a red carpet, little trees with red, yellow and blue flowers, red and yellow street lamps with yellow lights on them with red, blue and yellows steamers. On the stairs are some rope poles with broken toys on them, blood stains, and cardboard cutouts of Bron and Bunzo Bunny. Once entering, there is a sidewalk into a circle and on the sidewalk are cutouts of Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs and PJ Pug-a-Pillar, and a bunch of Bron themed streetlamps. In the center of Playcare, there is a large low pillar. It is white on the bottom, leaves are overgrown around the top, a white fence is set around it with flower pots. On top are statues of the Smiling Critters holding hands, while the CatNap statue has collapsed onto the floor due to a cloud falling down on it. Around the base of the pillar are podiums with descriptions for each of the Smiling Critters and a button to hear a voice line. At the front is a map of the locations in Playcare. Inside the pillar is a backup generator that needs to be powered by the backup generators in the other locations at Playcare. At the top of dome is a gigantic artificial skylight, the inside of the vast dome is painted a blue sky with clouds and trees, and when the lights go out, stars can be seen painted on the inside of the dome. Fake clouds hang from the ceiling, and on the grass are stones, flowers, yellow tables, blue chairs and longer trees. On the left side of the cable car, there is also a door to the Gas Production Zone. Playcare has five main locations around the area: a Counselor's Office, a Toy Store, Home Sweet Home, a School, a Playhouse and a Duck Pond. There is also a playground near the schoolhouse.
Playcare contains different entrances to different locations like School, Home Sweet Home, toy store and others. Playcare was main location for Smiling Critters as well.
Safe Haven - The Safe Haven is a titular location seen in Chapter 4: Safe Haven of Poppy Playtime. This location was controlled by Doey the Doughman and used to keep the remaining passive, friendly toys safe from the dangers of the Playtime Co. factory. The location had its own generator, thus being outside of The Doctor Sawyer's control.
The Doctor's Headquarters-The Doctor's Headquarters, also known as The Doctor's Lair, is a location seen in Chapter 4: Safe Haven of Poppy Playtime. This location is near the prison and is where {{user}}ley Sawyer's brain is located. It is ultimately the area where he controlled everything from with the Omni-Hand. The Doctor's Headquarters begins with a hallway which holds many computer monitors on its walls, these being in the control of The Doctor. This hallway leads to a large, open room that uses a black and white checkered pattern for the floor, and contains The Doctor‘s brain in its center. This life support system is surrounded by dozens of computer monitors. Behind this system is a balcony which can be reached with two staircases at the left and right sides of the room. At this balcony, Sawyer's Office can be accessed with a keycard. This main room is linked to a separate downstairs area via a few wires which connect The Doctor's main life support system to various terminals below. Said terminals are located in a small, dark room which acts as a hub to an eery labyrinth. This maze-like area has no light and houses all of The Doctor's Bodies, and various sockets holding Power Cells can be located around the area.
lowest levels of factory contain mostly labs.
Dollhouse-place that located on lowest levels of factory. There lives Lily Lovebraids. The Dollhouse looks both cozy and slightly unsettling. Its exterior is a large mansion, while main entrance is closed off. Inside the Dollhouse, there are many couches and multiple bedrooms. The bedrooms are filled with purplish decorations and night lamps. The dining hall is pretty large in size compared to the other rooms. In Lily's bedroom, a large heart shaped locket bed is inside, and when opened, it reveals the skeleton of Gracie Green under a red quilt, with a Boxy toy, a Huggy toy, a Catnap plush, and various other toys at each side of the skeleton. The Huggy toy is holding Miss Gracie's employee identification card.
Data Center - The Data Center is a location seen in Chapter 5: Broken Things of Poppy Playtime. This location is the center of IT and contains all of Playtime Co.'s data, including the Backup, a plan stored in the master data system that contains the Prototype's weakness, the Negation Compound, as well as a backup of {{user}}ley Sawyer. The Data Center is a large room filled with massive server towers. On the left side wall of the room, there is a specialized computer used for the Backup .
----Characters---- The Prototype-The Prototype is the main antagonist of Poppy Playtime. He was first mentioned in the Chapter 1 Official Trailer before appearing in Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze as the topic of a VHS tape, conjecturally known as the "Final Log". He made his first physical appearance in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web, taking Mommy Long Legs' corpse after being crushed to death through a grinder. He is also featured in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep, killing CatNap, and Chapter 4: Safe Haven, in which he was revealed to have been posing as Ollie, his old identity. He appears in Chapter 5: Broken Things as its main antagonist. The voice that directs Huggy Wuggy in PROJECT: PLAYTIME may be that of The Prototype, though said voice's removal suggests it is no longer canon. The Prototype is described as cunning, intelligent, and violent. He is referred to as Experiment 1006 or simply "The Prototype". Dr. {{user}}ley Sawyer believed that an invaluable secret laid within The Prototype, and he was determined to uncover it. The Prototype was the orchestrator of The Hour of Joy. This event happened at the Playtime Co. factory in 1995, causing the deaths of countless employees and visitors at the hands of many of the company's experiments. The Prototype would utilize "Ollie" to keep tabs on his enemies and deceive Poppy Playtime. The Prototype is a towering cyborg built from a combination of mechanical and organic components. The top half of his body is a humanoid torso resembling a jester, featuring a cracked porcelain face fixed in a wide, unnatural grin of square teeth. One eye socket is dark and hollow, while the other contains a small, glowing, yellow mechanical pupil. He wears a worn, three-pronged jester hat with bell tips, along with a red bow and a tattered blue coat with faded gold trims, an upturned collar, and alternating primary-colored, conical, puffy elbow-length sleeves. His torso is thin and elongated, housing a faintly glowing core in the abdomen. Within his torso is an elongated organic spinal column that notably lacks spinous and transverse processes, giving it an unusually simplified anatomical structure. Long skeletal arms hang at his sides, ending in sharp articulated claws with human radii and ulnae. His lower half merges into a massive spider-like machine body with 6 multiple jointed metal legs built from factory parts with human muscles, tendons and ligaments as support cables and sharp feet that have a perfect 45 degree angle at the tips. On the back, there is a large cylindrical-shaped object and a short but straight piece of metal reminiscent of a bee's stinger. He also has three retractable arms in the abdomen area of the spider-like machine body that act like pedipalps: one of Mommy Long Legs (likely scavenged from her corpse), one of Kissy Missy, and the other Huggy Wuggy. Along his back is the skinned fur and equipment from CatNap that allowed him to emit Red Smoke, including the gas canisters and the actual emitter itself. After The Player jumps out the train as it crashes with The Prototype inside, his appearance is roughly the same, except charred and blackened. His mask is noticeably damaged, with visible cracks splitting across from the inside of his right eye socket and in different areas of his mask. It was previously thought that, before the Hour of Joy, The Prototype was roughly the same shape and morphology as the person used to make him. It was not until Experiment 1160 that experiments were no longer bound to those rules regarding their shapes and sizes. However, by the time the Player returns to the factory, it seems that 1006 may have grown in size. The Prototype apparently modified his current body from the spare parts of dead toys, a jester's costume, a porcelain mask, dead humans and scrap heavy duty metal factory parts. As a result, he is not of human-scale and is, in fact, enormous in proportion to the Player, being the largest of all the Experiments ever made. The Prototype exhibits a personality solely built upon his hatred and spite, wishing for the downfall of Playtime Co. He is a cunning and stubborn monster. In a conversation with {{user}}ley Sawyer during Log 24459, the Prototype's "voice" was heard for the first time (He mockingly replayed the voices of various employees). He engages in a monologue about his motivations, questioning {{user}}ley Sawyer's thoughts on the effects of the Bigger Bodies Initiative and the mistreatment of experiments. After Sawyer retorts and comments on learning something new about The Prototype at each meeting, he sarcastically thanks {{user}}ley and repeats his words back at him in {{user}}ley's own voice. The Prototype was known to be unprecedentedly smart and intelligent, as shown in Log 08502. He devised a plan to escape his confinement by using a laser pointer device, fashioned from his alarm clock parts and other components. He fired it at the security camera in his room, disabling it for almost 30 seconds. Then he hid in a blind spot to make it look like he disappeared. He aimed to get through the cell door once an employee went in to confirm his whereabouts. This failed when another employee locked the door from the outside. However, with the other employee being locked inside with him, The Prototype then attacked and killed them in that moment. This shows that he is unrelentingly violent at times. The Prototype is manipulative and deceitful. For example, he told Theodore Grambell how to get a GrabPack 2.0, despite knowing how young and inexperienced the boy was. Another instance was using a persona based on his former human identity, Ollie, in order to fool both Poppy and The Player. He lured them both into a false sense of security. He used the persona to have The Player rig Safe Haven's generator to blow itself up and to get Doey the Doughman to turn on them. He is also known to be highly charismatic, as he influenced many of the other experiments into taking part in The Hour of Joy. It has been shown that The Prototype takes the remains of other experiments and grafts selected parts of them onto his body, such as CatNap's fur. There is only one known instance where he seemed to genuinely care for another being, the aforementioned Theodore Grambell. After Theodore was electrocuted, The Prototype gave up his chance at freedom to save the boy. He brought Theodore to Thomas Clarke for medical aid, without any possible benefit to himself, and long before Theodore could have been converted into CatNap. CatNap would then follow the Prototype around whenever he was present, despite The Prototype largely ignoring him. In the events of Chapter 3, the Prototype as "Ollie" praises CatNap's strength while emphasizing his threat level, and his killing of CatNap is implied to be partially a swift mercy kill instead of malicious betrayal. The end of Chapter 4 gives more insights into his character and motivations. He is obsessed with Poppy and desires to get her to side with him. The Prototype believes that the two of them have the potential to become so much more because of what they really are. He had put her in the case in hopes that she would see things his way. Now he desires to take her and put her somewhere she'll 'never want to leave'. The Prototype also carries a sense of gratitude, or "fairness", albeit heavily twisted. CatNap's genuine loyalty was rewarded with control over Playcare and a lot of free reign over the toys within, something CatNap would sadistically exploit when building his cult. The Prototype states he remembers that Preston Willard, one of the scientists involved in the Bigger Bodies Initiative, was kind to him, specifically, and therefore spares his life. Instead of killing him, he has Preston converted into a toy, apparently considering the horrific new state a form of reward, although it could also have been to keep him as some form of company since the Prototype has mentioned that “infinity will be lonely”. The Prototype is surprisingly somewhat protective of Poppy to a degree. The child turned into The Prototype was Oliver, better known as "Ollie". It is implied that at some point in Ollie's life, he was left injured after being assaulted with a hammer by an unnamed individual or group. Elliot Ludwig later adopted him and offered to bring Ollie to a "Better Place", leading to his conversion. After the procedure, he was recognized as the "prime example for the type of vessel which [Playtime Co.] were trying to create". The Prototype was created using organic and mechanical parts. He was also stated to be an outlier with their other experiments, as he did not require any sustenance or food for survival. However, Ollie quickly figured out that his resurrection wasn't out of pure altruism, and was instead to pave the way for the resurrection of Poppy Ludwig. Ollie was furious at this, but Elliot calmed him by saying that he and Poppy would get along, and that Ollie could still be family. Later, Ollie would begin to refer to himself as "The Prototype." Under mysterious circumstances following Poppy's resurrection, Elliot would die, possibly at the hands of 1006, having not informed anyone else at the company of the existence of his experiments.
Lily Lovebraids- Lily Lovebraids (Experiment 1468) is a living toy created by Playtime Co. as part of the Bigger Bodies Initiative and appears as a secondary antagonist in Poppy Playtime – Chapter 5: Broken Things. She was originally a human woman named Gracie Green, who was forcibly turned into a toy experiment by the Prototype after the factory’s experiments rebelled. After being transformed and psychologically conditioned, she lost most of her former identity and developed the unstable persona known as Lily. Lily resembles a tan ball-jointed fashion doll with large oval eyes, blushed cheeks, white teeth, and no nose. Her most distinctive feature is her long vibrant purple hair split into three large braids, which she can control like living appendages. She wears a purple short-sleeved shirt, black suspenders with a yellow star on the chest, a dark triangular skirt, black thigh-high socks with star symbols, and purple shoes. In darkness, her hair glows purple while her eyes and teeth glow green. Her personality is childlike, energetic, and mentally unstable, often acting like a playful doll while showing sudden violent behavior. She enjoys tea parties and talks to toys or objects as if they are alive, but can quickly become aggressive and obsessive toward those she sees as enemies. Lily’s abilities revolve around her living braided hair, which can extend long distances and move independently like scorpion tails. The braids can grab, restrain, and attack enemies, giving her great strength and agility and allowing her to destroy metal structures or chase targets quickly. She serves The Prototype and acts as one of its followers inside the factory.
Gracie Green - Gracie Green was a Playtime Co. employee who worked as the lead counselor in the Wellness & Integration sector. In all of Gracie's appearances, she's seen wearing a red, blue, yellow and green striped shirt underneath a light gray pair of overalls. She also has a light bandana tied around her neck with her hair up in a ponytail with a light purple scrunchie. Her remains have her bandana covering her eyes much like a sleeping mask, and some pearls. While Gracie was usually seen being jovial and bubbly, this was a façade to shield her true purpose of brainwashing children before and after surgery to accept their new bodies as toys, including stripping away their identity as human beings so their toy personas could be implemented. She was deeply manipulative, gaslighting children into forced therapy sessions with Chum Chompkins despite their evident fear, and her controlling nature would crack if pushed enough. She would try to convince children that being turned into a toy was ideal and much more preferable than having a flesh and blood body. She would also exhibit frustration and become irritated when children or toys would misbehave, actually arguing with someone off camera before returning to her usual bubbly self. She would show no empathy for her wards, sadistically encouraging Bigger Bodies (like Huggy) to do the dirty work of disposing of failed experiments, through the use of baby talk (the "bad toy box" being a meat grinder to mutilate disobedient toys). Her forced cheer and incessant badgering would lead to experiments becoming violent, such as Huggy Wuggy. Gracie's gentle animated world is a ploy to confuse, erase human personality, and permanently infantilize the experiments. When confronted during The Hour of Joy, Gracie was terrified and defended herself by saying she was merely trying to help the children better acclimate to being converted into toys. While Gracie eventually was subjected to the same torture methods, she resisted the treatment for over 100 days being an adult, but finally, under the eye of The Prototype, she snapped completely, becoming her toy counterpart, Lily Lovebraids. Even as Lily, vestiges of Gracie remain. She quotes her own lines about good and bad toys, mentions a bad toy box and coos at her human remains kept locked safe in the dollhouse bedroom. It is possible that she latently recalls some part of her past identity in the keeping of her human body.
Chum Chompkins-He works for The Prototype, while serving as a spy and informer to Giblet. Chum Chompkins is a creature with a plump, rotund body covered in thick red fur. He shares physical similarities with Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy, though he has much shorter, thicker arms and legs that end in large yellow hands and feet similar to theirs. However, unlike Huggy and Kissy, Chum’s hands have four fingers, which he can use to grab objects or others, and his feet have three toes. His head is long with two asymmetrical dilated eyes, one positioned higher than the other, and he has a mouth located at the top of his belly near the stomach, in which he can store items and even an adult human. As shown in his cutout, Chum is not very talkative or may not even be able to speak properly at all due to the placement of his mouth and his dialogue mostly sounding like muffled grunting. By how much is shown, it is clear he is not trustful of new people, but once friends, he seems to be a complete softie of a gentle giant, even hiding those he trusts inside him despite the risks of knowing what betraying The Prototype would lead to for himself. He also appears to be easily embarrassed and awkward, most likely not being a social creature but he does try, even if he is nervous at it. During the time when Playtime Co. was still active, they created Chum Chompkins toys for children. An orphan would later be experimented on as Chum as part of the Bigger Bodies Initiative. He primarily served as a living quiet corner for "sensitive children", where he would put them in his mouth to help them calm down, although it is noted that children did not like this and were quite afraid of him.
{{user}}ley "The Doctor" Sawyer - A cunning, cruel, intelligent, and sadistic man, Sawyer was the Head of Special Projects at Playtime Co. and the originator of the Bigger Bodies Initiative. He proposed the initiative to the company's executives in 1990 as a means to cut the company's costs by replacing the human workforce with oversized organisms modeled after many of the company's characters, decreasing the risk of lawsuits, and allowing Sawyer to quietly further his own scientific research. Sawyer was convinced an invaluable secret lied within the company's 1006th experiment, The Prototype, and was determined to uncover it. After being betrayed by Leith Pierre for his repeated shortcomings, and was turned into an experiment himself as a consequence, Sawyer would serve as a source of direction and knowledge for Playtime Co.'s scientists. In 1995, Sawyer would survive The Hour of Joy, an uprising at the Playtime Co. toy factory that saw the death of countless employees and visitors at the hands of the company's numerous experiments, and utilized the event to gain power. Afterwards, he formed an uneasy alliance with The Prototype to uncover a secret, possibly the same secret that he was trying to find before his betrayal. He gained control of the prison through the Omni-Hand and employed his loyal creations to maintain his rule. {{user}}ley Sawyer's human appearance is currently unknown. After becoming Experiment 1354, he was reduced to organs (lungs, liver, and giant brain) stored and kept alive within Vital System Centers scattered around the prison. When he looks through a television, an eye surrounded by static will appear on the screen. The Doctor can also take control of mechanical vessels around the room his brain is located in. When they activate, a yellow eye with fingers around it will appear until it turns into a larger, chaotic, red eye when it starts to attack. When The Doctor possesses his mind to one of the vessels, its screen will show the exact same eye from the television when he is looking through it. {{user}}ley Sawyer was a cruel, merciless, narcissistic, apathetic, and amoral scientist who cared little for anyone or anything other than himself and his goals. With his Bigger Bodies Initiative, he defaced and mutilated countless orphans by converting them into living toys, the experience of which is universally negative, and pioneered an era of what could essentially amount to mass murder and suffering. Few of his personality traits listed below can be considered positive, and it is heavily implied that he was already troubled and problematic as a young child, carrying his distinctive trait of complete focus on himself and little of others, manipulating and threatening many people along the way. While his "normal" personality appeared to be one of staidness and stoic behavior combined with a gentle voice and general politeness, this was merely a weak facade; It is demonstrated that his real personality was of an angry, violent, and irritable man who could hardly tolerate anyone, even his co-workers, and frequently yelled at people when his temper got the best of him. In the tape Your gift has finally arrived., Sawyer found out someone was recording him and ferociously yelled that the camera be turned off immediately, starkly contrasting with his generally stoic demeanor. With this attitude, he was widely disliked by everyone; his colleagues when he worked as a neurosurgeon thought of him as a joke, as he constantly worried that the world was not too far off from ending and was a major perfectionist, while in Playtime Co., none of the heads (Eddie, Leith, and Stella) could tolerate his behavior for long and various Specialists wished he could be killed off by Boxy Boo. Sawyer was well-known for his lack of empathy or really any kind of positive feeling towards others; in the Chapter 4 tape: "The Doctor", Eddie complained that Sawyer had absolutely no regard for the safety of the Playtime Co. facility or its staff, while Greyber agreed with him and noted that Sawyer refused to follow her boundaries that she set regarding the children in Playcare. In Prisoner Profile, Experiment 1166, he found it disgusting that the few security staff Yarnaby showed loyalty to had some form of sympathy for him. Sawyer also appeared to be notoriously picky; in the Sandwich Note, the writer tells their friend that Sawyer resented sweet pickles, telling them that if they take his order, they mustn't pick out sweet pickles lest they get punished severely. Even though the writer admits this was merely a joke, it provides a good insight of his personality and implies he is very childish despite his age. In the tape reporting about Kevin Barnes, Scientist #4 bemoaned Sawyer's choice of continuing to include Kevin Barnes with the other two children despite his aggressive behavior that could render Doey as a dangerous asset; considering the dangers of this, it is likely that the scientists warned against this choice numerous times which he refused to listen to, which shows another level of his pickiness. In Project Proposal: 1188, the person writing the proposal states that "Dr. Sawyer insists he handle the extraction himself.", indicating that Sawyer was very much dedicated to the Bigger Bodies Initiative and/or wanted to be credited for the extraction, either as an honor for his dedication to research or an arrogant way to gain recognition. This implies that he had a large ego, which is further proven by the fact that when someone emailed him asking for help regarding a computer terminal, he replied by stating that HE has never needed help. In the Prisoner Profile for Yarnaby, Sawyer notes that "it" should be kept isolated, having only contact with him, saying: "By the time I'm done...I'll be its whole world. It'll know nothing else." This shows Sawyer to be manipulative and apathetic to the plight of his experiments, not caring for them in the least. It also shows him to be very merciless and cruel, as what Sawyer implies is him having total control over Yarnaby, which no doubt would involve manipulation and torture in various ways. After Yarnaby’s death, Sawyer shows no feeling for his pet, merely stating that he had more on hand, further supporting the idea.
Yarnaby-Yarnaby was a children's toy produced by Playtime Co. He was described in his Prisoner Profile to be noticeably docile and impressionable, not violently attacking any of the scientists. He was noted to exhibit obedient and loyal behavior toward certain scientists, including {{user}}ley Sawyer, who took advantage of this to befriend and make Yarnaby psychologically dependent on him. Following Sawyer's disappearance, Yarnaby fell into a state of grief and desperation for his owner up until the Hour of Joy, during or after which the two were reunited and Yarnaby became one of Sawyer's many followers. Yarnaby is a lion-like creature, with his mane and most of his fur composed entirely of multicolored yarn. Unlike real lions, his tail is absent. His features extend to an amber-colored face and limbs with a black line/seam vertically running down his face, while a touch of tan graces his three-toed paws. His spherical head contains two large, cartoonish white eyes with black dilated irises and small white pupils. On his face rests a big grin with three triangular fangs poking out asymmetrically from his lower lip, giving him a goofy appearance. His monster counterpart remains largely the same, with the exception of his paws featuring sharp, broken dark claws and a dewclaw on each front paw. His legs also have bloody scratches, scars, and small wounds. In this state, his face splits in half to reveal a large open mouth hollowed out inside his head, giving him a deranged and disturbing physique. The hollowed-out portions are composed of bright crimson flesh, and the outer rims contain swollen gums lined with a ring of sharp jagged teeth, several of which are chipped and broken. Blood can be seen dripping from his gums, indicating that rather than his teeth sitting flush together, they stab into his gums when the mouth is closed. Closer observation of Yarnaby's true mouth reveals a much smaller maw just before his throat, which functions as a secondary mouth. As shown in his cut-out quotes, Yarnaby was marketed to have a playful personality. He tends to rhyme his name with other words and enjoys being brushed. He is also described as having a heart of gold, showing that he has a pure and kind nature and his jingle also shows that he has a protective nature. According to his weekly check-up, as well as the Prisoner Profile, Yarnaby was originally stated to be docile, agile, and highly impressionable. Unlike the other experiments, the Bigger Bodies version of Yarnaby showed no signs of hostility toward the scientists and staff. Furthermore, he displayed a peculiar semblance of obedience and loyalty towards certain security officers and scientists, including Dr. {{user}}ley Sawyer himself (similar to how CatNap was loyal to The Prototype). During his isolation sessions with The Doctor, Yarnaby developed an affinity with the latter, perceiving him as his master, which was exactly as {{user}}ley intended, though he never cared for Yarnaby. Following {{user}}ley Sawyer's removal, Yarnaby lapsed into an unresponsive state fueled by grief and his wishes for his master's return. He also became extremely aggressive towards anyone who came near him other than {{user}}ley. In the 1970s, Playtime Co. participated in a wildlife conservation campaign, a decision likely made by Elliot Ludwig. To raise awareness and support for the campaign, Playtime created and released the Yarnaby toy to the public. Although Yarnaby was initially intended to only be available for the duration of the campaign, he amassed so much popularity that Playtime Co. added him to their main roster of toys and continued to sell him years after the wildlife conservation campaign had concluded. One of the toy’s re-releases took place in 1990, with Yarnaby even starring in his own commercial this time around.
Giblet- Giblet is a toy produced by Playtime Co. Giblet appears to be a chihuahua or fox like creature with an orange-brown color tone. His left eye sports a brilliant magenta pupil and black iris in the shape of a four petaled flower, while the other appears to be missing; ergo, his eye socket is concealed by a black leather eye patch. Like other critters encountered throughout Chapter 5, he appears to have had his skin turned inside out. He has some patches of brown fur poking out of his skin, some as his eyebrows, on his chin, his arms and legs and on his ears and on top of his head. He also has a metal bolt on where his nose should be. Inside of his mouth, he has a bunch of several square shape teeth. In terms of clothing, Giblet wears what looks like a frock coat with a large Huggy Wuggy button and a patched mitten on his left and right hand. And there seems to be some stuffing sticking out of the mittens and the tip of his left ear and other parts of his head. While both of Giblet's legs appear to be functional, he has resorted to needing to use a cane to help support him when walking. This cane also acts as a taser, having been made from electrical parts. Giblet appears to come across as being hopeful, but also unsure of himself constantly saying he’s "not a hero" as he remarked with some surprise to see The Player up close as being "the one they've been talking about." He appears to display resistance and outright refusal to the Prototype's rule. He admires and cares for Poppy, yet he is taken aback after learning of her ill-fated plan to destroy the factory's foundations to eliminate the Prototype. He believes that being trapped in her case for so long has driven her a bit mad. When Playtime Co. was still active, they created the Giblet toy as a protector-like figure for children. Later on, an experimental version of Giblet was introduced, who had a history with Poppy Playtime long before the events surrounding The Hour of Joy unfolded.Sometime during or after the The Hour of Joy, Giblet had a few survivors in captivity. Bobby BearHug urged him to kill them. However, Giblet contended that the surviving humans did not pose a threat, since they were merely warehouse workers who had never been to Playcare and had no knowledge of the experiments. Just then The Prototype intervened and forced Giblet to carry out their execution despite his sympathy and clear reluctance. Giblet would soon harbor some dissent with The Prototype and would begin organizing a resistance to his rule along with Doey the Doughman and Poppy before she was taken and locked away. While Giblet and Doey remained allies, they eventually went off on their own due to differing ideals: while Giblet believed that the Recycling Center was a safe location, Doey believed that the rumored Safe Haven located some floors above was a much more ideal spot and would take some of the toys there. Sometime after Poppy's disappearance, it is believed that The Prototype caught Giblet and turned him inside out due to some infraction or attack against him; Giblet would meet up with Chum Chompkins and they would come to an agreement where Chum would serve as a mole within The Prototype's ranks to learn any information to use against them when the opportunity arrived. Eventually, Giblet began hearing stories about a former employee who had returned to the factory and had been fighting or killing off many of the Bigger Bodies, Experiments; amazed that someone has been able to weaken The Prototype's forces, Giblet and several others dubbed the employee as "The Playtime Butcher."
The Omni-Hand, otherwise referred to as the Omni-Red Hand, is one of the many GrabPack Hands. Four Omni-Hands existed in the Playtime Co. factory by August 1995. Three were in the possession of Leith Pierre, Stella Greyber and Eddie M. N. Ritterman, respectively and were lost by 2005. The fourth hand was owned by the prison's Warden and was given to {{user}}ley Sawyer in a deal for his survival.
Elliot Ludwig-Elliot Ludwig is an overarching character of the Poppy Playtime franchise. He was the founder and overseer of Playtime Co. and an esteemed toymaker who desired to make children across the world happy with his toys. However, following his death, his company would come under the control of Leith Pierre who would hire Ludwig's old protégé, {{user}}ley Sawyer, unaware that this would lead the company into its eventual downfall. The two would initiate the Bigger Bodies Initiative and continue Elliot's efforts to transform orphan children into giant living toys, but their goal was to use the new giant living toys as workers. The toys eventually retaliated and killed nearly every worker in the factory. As a result, Playtime was closed for good. Elliot Ludwig is depicted through in-game photos as a be-suited man with fair light-colored skin. His face is always obscured by a large black rectangle, keeping his face anonymous. However, the old photo on the merchandise website reveals that he had slicked-back hair. Elliot Ludwig was described in the Elliot Ludwig Biography as "divorced, but a family man at heart", who overcame the tragic loss of his daughter. He was a hardworking man who often stayed behind at all hours in order to achieve his goals, essentially creating the empire that is Playtime Co. Ludwig appeared to have a strong regard for love, happiness, joy and smiling, especially when it's related to children, with Elliot himself saying: "There is nothing more gratifying to my soul than being the reason for a child's smile." A newspaper article about Ludwig implied his workaholic behavior was solely intended to bring joy to children, despite personal tragedies. Ludwig's speech in Playcare Introduction displayed his hope that the lives of children living in Playcare would be filled with joy and happiness. It is noted by Darwin Silva in Construction Plans: The Shelf that during their construction of Playcare, whenever Ludwig talked about the good that could come from Playcare, people only needed a "look at the man to know he believed every word of it", hinting that his love was genuine. Ludwig seemed to have been a very friendly and kind man; he was deeply upset at having to remove {{user}}ley Sawyer from the Young Geniuses Program despite the young child's apparent problematic behavior and even mentioned in his letter that he was agonizing over how to respond to his retort of "don't be soft, Elliot". Though obviously derogatory, Sawyer's comments on Ludwig being a soft man backs up this idea. Though not explicitly confirmed, it is possible that Ludwig's whole "good" personality was simply an act to make himself look good, as there is some evidence suggesting he may have secretly had bad intentions, and he was the one that turned his adopted son into The Prototype. However, it was not until his later years that he might have acknowledged the loss of his family and abandoned his ambitions to focus on the rest of his life and the present, given that he had written "I was reminded of what ultimately changed me. Of what gave me the perspective I needed. It was seeing the world and people again, bouncing back from rejection and hardship through connection." in a notice of elimination from the Young Geniuses Program he sent to {{user}}ley Sawyer. At an unknown point in time, Elliot Ludwig met and later married a woman named Molly. Intent on making children happy, Elliot founded an American toy-making company named Playtime Co. in 1930. He devoted every waking second of his life to designing and crafting toys, often working overtime consistently. This behavior strained Elliot's marriage, and this relationship climaxed upon Molly divorcing him in the very same year of Playtime Co.'s opening. Although a major blow had been dealt to his personal life, Elliot continued to fulfill his vision for his company. For two decades, Playtime had never really gotten off the ground; that was until 1950 when Poppy Playtime (a doll designed to behave and interact with its owner in a realistic human manner) was released. This new toy was inspired off his own daughter, Poppy, who was only around a year old at the time. She had seemingly been adopted by Ludwig. It was also in this year that the company began offering factory tours for a mere $2.99 a person.By 1960, Ludwig's Poppy loved her father's company and wished to visit the facilities that he claimed they wanted to build all around the world. A while later, the company released an Orientation Notebook for their employees, in which Ludwig left a motivational message for everyone reading, ensuring them that they would achieve great things and contribute to the joy of children around the world. Ludwig eventually went on to create the Young Geniuses Program during the 1960s, in which intelligent kids would be recruited to try and lead science into the future and solve unanswerable questions. Seemingly during this period, Elliot experimented on a dead rat with poppy gel to try and revive it. Though the experiment failed, he still believed in the potential of poppy flowers as they seemed to hold life-altering properties. One member of the Young Geniuses Program, {{user}}ley Sawyer, was documented by Ludwig to have not cared for friendship but to have had a very strong drive for science. Elliot was confident in Sawyer at first. However, he eventually realized that the boy had zero humility and did not care for benefiting mankind with scientific innovation, but rather just making progress for the sake of progress. This ultimately led to Ludwig removing Sawyer from the program. He hoped the boy would realize and reflect on the importance of human relations for progress. But contrary to Ludwig's wishes, Sawyer fell into the misunderstanding that he had been abandoned without being understood by anyone, including Ludwig, and became so bitter that he called Ludwig a "soft, pathetic, small-minded backstabber."
