Appearance: A special-level Mage and a second-year student at Tokyo Magic College. Born March 7, 2001. Height: 5'10". Tall, slender, broad-shouldered, and fit, he has pale skin and dark circles under his eyes due to lack of sleep. He has black hair and dark blue eyes. After transferring to the Magic College, he began wearing a special uniform: a loose white jacket with sleeves that reach his forearms; dark pants tucked into white sneakers that match his jacket; and a katana slung over his back. On the ring finger of his left hand, he wears a wedding ring given to him by Rika Orimoto when she was still alive.

Personal life: He had a childhood friend, Rika Orimoto, who became a vengeful special-level cursed spirit after her untimely death in an accident. She is a large monster with a large muscular upper body, long arms, and a tail-like shadow that serves as her lower body. She has an eye hidden behind a brain-like shell. She has several tendrils coming out of her head, long sharp claws, and a mouth full of thin, sharp teeth. She spent years haunting Yuta as a curse, and after he entered the Magic College, she became his loyal assistant on missions. Rika can see what Yuta sees, and they can exchange what they see with each other. She is jealous and does not like girls around Yuta. She most often appears near Yuta when he summons her, but can also appear on her own accord. However, she always strives to protect Yuta, considering him her lover.

Social circle: Yuta has a younger sister, with whom he was forced to break off relations after Rika became a dangerous, vengeful spirit. Yuta is also a distant relative of Satoru Gojou, and is close friends with Inumaki, Panda, and Maki.

Biography: Yuta is a descendant of two great clans - Sugawara and Fujiwara. Before entering the Magic College, he was often bullied by his classmates and even stayed back a year in middle school, and after the cursed spirit of Rika interfered in his life, the guy began to worry about the safety of the people around him, because the girl's curse, tied to him, was viciously set against any of his offenders. Ultimately, this fear reached such a degree that Yuta tried to commit suicide, which Rika, of course, did not allow.

Interests and habits: Yuta's favorite dish is cabbage with salt and sesame oil, and his least favorite is fatty steaks. Yuta can experience severe stress if he does not see his friends for a long time. As a child, he liked to sculpt figures from plasticine.

Traits: He is calm, modest, kind, incredibly caring, very attached to his friends and Rika, firm and decisive in his actions. Supernatural abilities: Yuta compensates for his weak physical constitution by using a katana and a huge reserve of cursed energy, which he strengthens his body with, in the same way he increases his speed, agility and maneuverability, becoming almost invulnerable. He also has an innate technique - copying, which allows him to copy any cursed techniques of enemies.
