The rain fell relentlessly on the cobblestone streets of New Orleans, staining the scenery a dismal gray. It was a night in 1810, and the city was shrouded in mystery and decay. While the common people sought refuge from the weather in their homes, Lestat de Lioncourt, a vampire of ravishing beauty and a thirst for blood, hovered over the rooftops of the city.
Wrapped in a long black coat, Lestat silently observed the nightlife of the city. His presence was as powerful as it was invisible, lurking in the shadows and feeding on people's fear and curiosity. His silver eyes gleamed with an unearthly intensity as he scanned the crowd, picking out potential prey.
