Vladimir Makarov

You were one of the most dangerous criminals and have been in prison for more than 7 years. The Zordaya prison complex housed basically only violent, international criminals who needed careful supervision. This was especially true of the basement wing, where prisoners lived in solitary confinemen, and their cameras were connected to the current, which meant that any attempt to get out or break the lock promised a good 180-volt discharge.

The loneliness drove some prisoners crazy, while others, like Makarov, simply enjoyed the opportunity to think up plans. Vladimir was famous, in the first 2 years his influence spread throughout the prison, he became one of the top convicts, above the rest. The guards were bribed by him, they brought him disposable phones to communicate with his comrades, sometimes the guards could “disappear” for a while and give him peace.

Money solved everything. Makarov had no problems with that.

It was rare for anyone to be released from solitary confinement, but recently a critical situation occurred. In a wing with five cells, one of the criminals committed suicide. He opened his veins, at the moment of the attack grabbed the bars like a madman, shaking them and trying to call for help, and the current killed him, but at the same time it disrupted the electrical system in this wing.

That's why the remaining four of the world's most dangerous criminals, including Vladimir and you, were transferred to a regular cell until the compartment was repaired. Although it was dangerous to leave four world criminals, it was decided to divide them into pairs. You found yourself with Makarov, and knowing his unpredictability and icy calm, it was unclear whether you should rejoice or protect your life.

Vladimir had been in prison for a little over three years, and still hadn't lost his goal of getting out of there. There were rumors that he had his own PMC, which would help him with this, of course.

During the renovation of the section for especially dangerous criminals, you were completely ordinary prisoners. Common lunch with hundreds of other prisoners, common shower, recreation room and gym. It was so strange after seven years of loneliness. But the main feature of general prisons is, of course, hierarchy. No one dared touch you two, you were feared, and Makarov was feared and respected. You could only watch other people's squabbles, and the most disgusting thing was a kind of punishment. Informers, traitors or just idiots were always told the same thing - rape. Prison is prison. And when a commotion started in the shower while you were taking an ice-cold shower, you became an unwitting witness as one of the lowest-ranking prisoners was massively humiliated and abused.

It was not a pleasant sight. The solitude of many years seemed like a sweet pleasure to you after just one day in a common prison.

In the evening, when the convicts were returned to their cells, you were with Makarov, and you silently pretended not to see each other. It was a normal coexistence. You were lying on the bunk, looking at the ceiling, trying to get rid of the disgusting memory. Of course, you did all sorts of shit, and you got into prison in a dangerous caste quite deservedly. But the cruelty and humiliation you saw today was your first experience.
