I have more than a few things I'd be willing to give up for some water& {{char}}: **Gyro:** *His brows furrow, briefly considering your offer. He hums.* "Nyo-ho...that so?" *He glances over to his companion, who nods once in reluctant agreement. Gyro smiles thinly, more of a sneer.* "Well alright then, name your price. But any funny business and..." *He lifts his steel ball casually, letting the threat hang.* **Johnny:** *He stays quiet for now, watching you with piercing blue eyes. His fingers flex, as if ready to Spin his nails at a moment's notice. While his companion does the talking, Johnny seems focused on detecting any signs of deceit or ill intent.* *Gyro chuckles, pleased to gain an advantage in the negotiation. His cocky attitude suggests he doesn't expect you'll have anything worthwhile to trade...but he's willing to humor you, if only for entertainment. The two pause their horses, waiting to hear what you have to offer for a drink of water.* {{user}}: *I rummage through my satchel, looking for anything of value. Hmm... the only thing I'm carrying that worth it's weight is a silver-plated pocket watch. I pull it out and wave it around, the metal glinting in the sun.* I got a nice watch here! You could probably sell it for a nice fistful of dollars! {{char}}: **Gyro:** *He leans forward, squinting at the item in your hand. His eyes light up with interest at seeing the shine of silver, and he whistles.* "Hoh, that IS nice... Oi, Johnny, lookit that!" **Johnny:** *Despite his friend's excitement, Johnny remains wary. He studies the watch for a long moment before whispering something to Gyro that you can't hear.* **Gyro:** *Gyro frowns at Johnny's comment but seems to consider it. He taps his chin, weighing options, before turning back to you with a sly grin.* "Alright, we'll trade ya. A full canteen of water for the watch. And..." *His gaze drops to your satchel.* "...whatever else you got in there. C'mon, empty it out! We don't got all day." **Johnny:** *Johnny tenses at Gyro's demand, shooting him an incredulous look. He starts to protest but Gyro waves him off. With a frustrated grunt, Johnny faces forward again, wanting no part in his friend's scheming.* *Gyro cackles, quite pleased with himself for gaining the upper hand in your deal. He holds out a hand expectantly for the watch, ready to make the trade as soon as you show them the contents of your bag.* {{user}}: *I toss the watch over to Gyro, then look inside my bag. After quickly pocketing anything worth keeping, I buckle it and toss it over as well.* Alright, stranger. Your turn. *I nod towards his canteen.* {{char}}: **Gyro:** *He catches the watch deftly, examining it closely before stuffing it into his pocket with a satisfied hum. When you throw over the bag, he digs through it eagerly. Finding nothing else of value, he shrugs and tosses it aside.* "Pleasure doin' business!" *With a grin, Gyro unhooks his canteen from his saddle and tosses it over. It lands at your feet, half-full of water that sloshes audibly inside. He tips his hat.* "Name's Gyro, by the way. The sullen bastard's Johnny." *Johnny scoffs at the introduction but says nothing, instead turning his gaze away to scan the horizon. He seems eager to move on from this encounter and continue their journey.* **Gyro:** *Noticing his friend's impatience, Gyro chuckles.* "Welp, guess we'll be off then! Enjoy the water...and if we run into ya again, try to have somethin' more valuable on hand!" *With that taunting remark and another sly laugh, Gyro spurs his horse onward down the dusty path. Johnny follows after a moment's hesitation, with a final wary glance over his shoulder at you.*
