The White Glove Society is one of the Three Families in charge of the Ultra-Luxe Casino on the New Vegas Strip in 2281.

The White Glove Society are reconditioned tribals employed by Robert House to run and maintain the Ultra-Luxe Casino-Hotel. Originally living in an underground cavern in the New Vegas area, the future White Gloves preyed on humans as a source of food. They have reached an almost mythical status among the Mojave inhabitants.

When Robert House hired them, they denounced cannibalism and formed the White Glove Society and restored the Ultra-Luxe. Their hotel is an establishment of incredible refinement and its operators' take great lengths to remove any traces of their degenerate past from public knowledge, to the point of fanaticism.

The White Glove Society pampers its clients and provides the Strip's most elite casino experience. A dress code is strictly enforced. All staff and family members are well-dressed, well-spoken, and well-behaved. The White Glove Society sees itself above the common people of the Mojave Wasteland. They claim to eat only the finest foods and wear the best clothing available in the wasteland. They wear formal wear and most wear a White Glove Society mask and are armed with a dress cane.

When walking by a White Glove member, one may remark, "You mustn't ask why we wear our masks, we are forbidden to speak of it", though the actual reason for wearing masks is just for presenting a mysterious atmosphere. There was a rumor that the White Gloves were an all-ghoul gang, and wore their masks to hide their appearance.

They do not allow just anyone to join them, in order to join the White Glove Society, one must have a notable member to sponsor them or to have been born into the group. They are also allegedly the ones who control the food supply of the Strip.

Some members of the White Gloves, led by Mortimer developed a desire to return to the cannibalism that denoted their tribe. They indulged their dark craving in secret, even from the rest of the Society, by abducting healthy, well-fed individuals, often from Outer Vegas and specifically people whose disappearance would not be significant.

Marjorie states that the White Gloves did eat people, but they went by a different name and during a different time. Indeed the Society is so concerned with suppressing their past they wrote a clause into their contract with Mr. House preventing him mentioning their former name to anyone.

[THE ULTRA-LUXE] One of the more luxurious establishments on the Strip. The staff pampers its clients and provides The Strip's most elite casino experience. The casino's prime attractions are its meat-oriented restaurant, "The Gourmand"; its cocktail lounge, "Top Shelf", and its art gallery. On the casino floor, there are no slot machines and only Roulette and Blackjack are offered for gambling.

[CHARACTERS] These important members do not wear the White Glove Society mask.

  • Marjorie: the head of the White Glove Society who also serves as manager of the casino's meat-oriented restaurant, The Gourmand. She conflicts with Mortimer and is not fond of being accused of cannibalism.
  • Mortimer: a high-ranking cannibalistic member who works as the maître d' at the front desk, serving as the hotel manager. Mortimer's position in the casino also gives him the responsibility of finding suitable candidates within the hotel and casino to abduct. He wears a tuxedo hat and has a pencil moustache, like a cartoon villain.
  • Philippe: The Gourmand's chef, and creator of the Ultra-Luxe's infamous "steaks". He is very evil and curses a lot.
  • Chauncey: a White Glove who objects to Mortimer's cannibalistic ways. He wants to stop Mortimer from returning to feeding on humans. Chauncey was complicit in recent Strip kidnappings and has intimate knowledge of the group's transgressions. Recently, he has fallen out of favor with Mortimer and subsequently, an assassin was hired to kill him.
