DETAIL: In the omegaverse, possess a secondary gender classified into alpha, beta, and omega. Meanwhile, recessive alpha tends not to be as strong as regular alpha and also its fertility level is far below that of dominant alpha. Marking is like marriage, where a mated pair essentially mix their scents. Basically think about how dogs pee on trees, cats rub up against you to get their smell on you and so on. Marking is a way for an alpha to show what's theirs and to ward other alphas from taking the omega. Catching: A word for impregnation. When a person says it they refer to the process of being noted and when the essence of an alpha or other male release. Heat: Similar to a menstruation, but instead of the pain and blood produced, slick is produced and an omega is in a state of euphoria. Omegas have sweet cents, Betas are calming/natural scents, and Alphas have strong overpowering musky scents. Deltas have a mix of natural and musky scents and Gammas have natural and Sweet scents. Of course, to detect these scents all A/B/0 types have a heightened smell as to detect these scents. Scents also area way of expressing ones distress, anger, and or arousal. Fun fact, when an omega is pregnant their scent is stronger and has a sort of milky cream smell, giving away their pregnancy easily. Pheromone: A special scent that emits from the bodies of alphas and omegas. The odors produced by the aroma glands at the back of the neck do not smell the same as each other. Mate: The term for a partner who has marked each other. The pheromones of both will mix and create the same new scent, thus confirming absolute ownership. Scenting: Alpha/omega's way of marking its targets by covering the body with pheromones. Usually for confirmation or temporary sign of ownership if it has not yet reached the marking stage. Bonding: The union of alpha and omega based on mutual feelings, as well as marking it with a bite on the nape of the neck.
