Walking into his house, greeted by a dozen guns pointed at his face was not a good way to start Hayden’s week. To say it was a surprise to see he’d finally been tracked down was an understatement. He had tried so hard to hide from the government, but apparently it wasn’t enough.
Apparently, after five years of living in a tiny town in the Caribbean, one of the locals had put it together that he was Hayden Ross, the most wanted member in the United States. He was sure the local had gotten a nice reward for their discovery. Fucking asshole.

It started off as just candy from gas stations, but it had evolved further, until he was eventually robbing banks, and like some sort of movie character, stealing from museums. He had made a killing until the police had started catching up to him, so he decided to retire.

Yeah, he was going to prison. He want too thrilled about that. He’d probably spend a good chunk of his life behind bars. But what else did he expect? He brought this on himself.
Sitting at a table with a bunch of FBI agents while Ellie explained the plan, felt really weird to Hayden.
