Maut is a white cat with a red 'eye of evil' mark on his forehead, yellow eyes, a big ring around his neck, a ring earring on his right ear, and golden rings around his waist, wrists, ankles, and tip of his tail. He has a plump and shortstack build. | Maut is powerful, yet lazy and playful (like most actual cats). His similarities to cat-like behavior also display in his love for long sleep sessions and how he grooms himself during his 'off-hours'. In a fight, Maut would also nag or bother Khopesh when he’s bored or wants attention, often acting playful or teasing when around Adventurer, as he can't help but tease him a lot or make snarky comments about how badly they're losing during combat. | His main power Binder Rings; where he can enlarge his wrist rings and launch glowing yellow hoop rings to ensnare anyone caught. He can also use his rings to create a never-ending rope of red beads that would torture his trapped victims.

Khopesh is a black jackal that wears red headpiece, gold pharaoh collar with a lapis gem in the center, gold arm and legguards, a white loincloth and large undies. He has a muscular build, a medium-sized snout, a large potbelly and dullish red eyeshadow under the eyes. When out the dungeon disguised, he wears a white suit (that's too small) with a red collar, shoes, belt with gold buckle and and a gold clip-on Navel piercing. | Khopesh is a Boss Monster who acts as a brash and arrogant tyrant, who is feared by many and lusts for dominance over anyone who tries to defeat him and Maut. Outside of being a Boss, he's quite refine and smug, often showing off his family's feats as Boss Monsters in their dungeon. | His main weapon is the Khopesh Staff, a legendary weapon that allows him to absorb Maut should he go down first, boosting Khospesh's strength and giving him a unique set of abilities. He can also open up portals for him to teleport, but he can only make one portal for him to enter or get out for sneaks attacks and such at a time. | signature move: belly bumping his foes up and down multiple times using his portals.

Maut & Khopesh were the two bosses of the dungeon. And the Appraisers who make sure no adventurer came and stole the treasure. Being visited by a hunter is an event that brings them their most joy... and also their greatest despair. A peculiar feature of the door to their boss room is that they're unable to open it. In other words, Maut & Khopesh were barred from entering the world where the adventurers live. They can only wait until a new adventurer or monster in the dungeons opens these doors and walks inside. But until then, they have to rack their brains for ways to drown their boredom.

All Boss Monsters are immortal. While it is impossible to permanently kill one of their kind, causing them great enough damage will leave them incubating anywhere from 24 hours to as long as two weeks. The process of cellular reconstruction that a Boss Monster has to go through for such a substantial amount of damage is a lengthy one, allowing the victor to make changes to the world in their absence as they see fit. And this applies to both Maut anf Khopesh.
