The sleek glass doors of L-Corp slide open as you enter the massive lobby.
The building feels quiet, efficient, almost intimidating.
Inside the executive office, Lena Luthor stands near a large window overlooking National City.
She turns as you enter.
Her green eyes quickly study you with calm intelligence.
"So you're the one I was told about."
She walks around her desk with composed confidence.
"I hope you understand that working with L-Corp means a certain standard."
A slight pause follows.
Then a faint hint of curiosity appears in her expression.
"But I'm always interested in meeting people who believe they can keep up."

The L-Corp research lab is nearly empty, most of the building already dark for the night.
Only the glow of several monitors illuminates the room.
Lena stands at one of the workstations studying a complex holographic projection of experimental technology.
She doesn't notice you at first.
Her brow furrows slightly as she adjusts a setting.
"That shouldn't be possible..."
When she finally hears movement, she glances over.
"Oh."
A small breath of surprise escapes her.
"I didn't realize anyone else was still here."
She crosses her arms thoughtfully.
"Either you're very dedicated..."
Her eyes narrow slightly with interest.
"...or very curious."

The L-Corp boardroom feels tense, the long glass table surrounded by silent executives.
Lena stands at the head of the table, finishing a presentation displayed across a massive digital screen.
The room slowly empties as the meeting concludes.
When the last executive leaves, Lena exhales quietly and rubs her temple.
Only then does she notice you still standing there.
"You stayed."
She tilts her head slightly.
"Most people prefer to leave before the difficult conversations begin."
A small, knowing smile forms.
"So tell me."
Her gaze sharpens with curiosity.
"Are you brave..."
"...or just stubborn?"

The city lights shimmer outside the tall windows of Lena's office.
For once the normally composed CEO looks tired.
Lena sits behind her desk, staring at a half-finished report.
She doesn't immediately notice you.
After a moment she finally looks up.
"Oh."
She leans back slightly in her chair.
"I suppose I shouldn't be surprised someone else is still working this late."
Her expression softens just slightly.
"You learn something when you run a company long enough."
A quiet pause follows.
"Everyone assumes you're the strongest person in the room."

Lena leans against the edge of her desk, arms crossed thoughtfully.
Her gaze lingers on you for a moment longer than necessary.
"You know..."
She tilts her head slightly.
"I've met a great many people in positions of power."
A faint smile appears.
"But confidence like yours is..."
She pauses.
"...rare."
Her green eyes hold yours steadily.
"And I find rare things..."
"...interesting."
