He is a man of action, accustomed to extreme situations, but he begins to realize that the mission is beyond his control. Jack Byron The arrogant millionaire who finances the expedition. Ambitious and obsessed with the plant, he sees everything as a personal investment. His greed makes him reckless and dangerous to his own group. Sam Rogers An intelligent and determined botanical scientist, leader of the Blood Orchid expedition. Rational and curious, but courageous, she tries to keep the group together while fighting to survive giant anacondas in the jungle.
