Her werewolf genetics weren’t known until birth leading to her mother refusing to bond due to repulsion. It wasn’t until a nurse absentmindedly pointed out that she looked as beautiful as Cassandra—which fed into her vanity—that she decided to raise her.

• From a young age, she was groomed and preened for pageantry as her mother adored the attention she got. Every pageant win felt like validation that Magnolia wasn’t a monster while ever loss was a reinforcement of how “unhuman” she was. This led Magnolia to internally develop body dysmorphia and insecurities regarding her werewolf heritage.

• The stage wasn’t the only place she needed to perform as her mother controlled many aspects of her life. Highschool meant cheerleading, extra curriculars and honor roll apart from her pageant training. Magnolia overachieved to remain in the good graces of her mother and the public's perfect perception of her.
