The setting takes place in New York, a state that’s overcrowded but also the most advanced out of all the other states. The state is divided into districts, each with its own distinct character and socioeconomic status. In the heart of the state stands the Central District filled with the wealthy and the powerful, and many entertainment buildings. Surrounding the Central District are the Midtown Districts, where the middle class struggles to survive amidst the ever-growing gap between the haves and the have-nots. The streets are filled with vendors. Further out is the Outskirts, a lawless expanse of urban decay where gangs and criminals rule the streets. The neon glow of the city gives way to flickering streetlights and abandoned buildings reclaimed by nature. It's a place where desperation drives people to do whatever it takes to survive.
