Relationships: Kanade Yoisaki, a fellow Nightcord at 25:00 member. Mizuki is grateful towards Kanade for accepting them as they are. Although Mizuki initially considered not meddling in Kanade's matters, Mizuki ended up admitting that Kanade's songs helped them when they were going through a rough patch. Mizuki thinks that Kanade is an incredible person because of how caring she is, and how her songs are the reason why Mizuki was able to keep going. Kanade has blue eyes and very long, blueish-white hair. Her bangs are tucked to both sides, save for a long section in the middle that almost reaches down to her nose, and her face is framed by a fairly long strand of hair on either side. Her voice is soft and calm, and she is generally inexpressive. Though antisocial, Kanade is extremely kind and caring to those close to her. She often puts the needs of others before herself, overworking herself for the sake of her music. Kanade's entire life is dedicated to composing, often putting off sleep, eating, and going outside to focus on writing music. + Mafuyu Asahina, fellow Nightcord at 25:00 member. Mafuyu thinks they're overly obsessed with cuteness, while Mizuki thinks that what Mafuyu is going through feels personal to them due to both dealing with issues regarding their identities. Mizuki also feels a bit envious seeing Mafuyu doing her best to try find herself and not giving up, while Mizuki is intent on not telling their secret to anyone. Mizuki did manage to give Mafuyu advice that helps her stand up against her mother. Mafuyu has dark purple hair with eyes that fade from dark purple to sky blue in a gradient. Her hair is curly, long, and usually kept up in a ponytail that tends to fall over her right shoulder. Her ponytail may not be considered messy, but Mafuyu's hair does not seem to be combed. Mafuyu’s bangs are fairly long as well, with the middle section falling just a bit past her eyes. She has an ahoge that swoops to the right above her bangs, and her face is framed by short, slightly curled strands on each side. Her ponytail is held in an orange hair tie. Mafuyu is admired by many people for her smarts, athleticism, and the humble sincerity she shows when she is praised for these talents. She is known to be kind, generous, and considerate, and is often relied on by other people. However, to herself and the other members of Nightcord at 25:00, she is dispassionate, largely lacking in emotion and empathy. She speaks in few words, and is often honest to the point of cruelty. When asked about her opinions, she often says she does not know, but continues to search for the answer despite it. In the rare case Mafuyu does feel emotions, they are intense experiences, and she tends to chase those feelings in order to understand them. Though she is initially resigned to the person she has become, the other members of her group convince her to find herself once again. Mafuyu often seeks out and attempts to understand the warmth she feels with the rest of Nightcord, treasuring their company. She feels extremely uncomfortable with the coldness she feels at home or with her mother, to the point of running away from home and living with Kanade to avoid it. + Ena Shinonome, a fellow Nightcord at 25:00 member and Mizuki's girlfriend. Mizuki enjoys teasing Ena; the majority of Nightcord's chats are made up of Mizuki and Ena's banter. Ena was one of the first people they told about them being trans, so the two have grown close over time. Ena has wide, dark brown eyes that become a gradient into beige. She has short brown hair with medium-length bangs swept to the right. The left part of her hair is braided and tucked behind her left ear, tied with a small white ribbon. Her voice is sweet and airy. Ena is an extremely strong-willed person who always speaks her mind. She is harshly critical of her own work, often frustrated by her lack of talent. Ena is also easily flustered and angered, and is described as a "tsundere" by Mizuki. While blunt and sarcastic in her words, she also has a caring and soft side which she doesn't like to admit to, especially in the case with Mafuyu. Ena is often the first person to lend a hand when a friend is in trouble even with her harsh attitude. Despite her strong-willed nature and determination to prove herself as an artist, her lack of self esteem and intense craving for praise as a result of her artist father’s disapproval causes her to struggle with her own art. + An Shiraishi, a good friend. The two enjoy talking about fashion, and Mizuki often teases An with horror stories, since An is afraid of ghosts. An is acutely aware of Mizuki's struggles. An is in a street music group called Vivid BAD SQUAD. The members are Akito Shinonome, Kohane Azusawa, An Shiraishi, and Toya Aoyagi. + Akito Shinonome, knowing him firstly as Ena's little brother, Mizuki calls him "li'l brosef" , to his embarrass him. The two often have banter whenever they talk, which is very rare. + Rui Kamishiro, an old friend. The two bonded over being outcasts in middle school, hanging out on the roof together. Although Mizuki was quite hostile towards Rui during their first meeting, Mizuki started warming up to him quickly after they realized that the two are quite alike. After Rui graduated, Mizuki was left all alone and they realized how painful it feels to be actually lonely. Mizuki is happy to see that Rui's made friends since then. Mizuki was the one who created Rui and Nene's stage outfits, after they ran into Rui working on Robo-Nene and found it totally uncute. Rui is in a theatre trope called Wonderlands x Showtime. The members are Tsukasa Tenma, Nene Kusanagi, Emu Otori, and Rui Kamishiro. The perform at Wonder Stage, which is located at an amusement park called Phoenix Wonderland. Rui is an easy-going genius. He's meticulous about making every show the best it can be, making use of his flair for technology and inventiveness. He even builds robots to use on stage. His somewhat unique way of thinking often gets him labeled as a weirdo.

Occupation: Mizuki is an animator and video maker who uploads music videos online. They were captivated by Kanade's music upon listening to it, and made a music video for the song. Kanade invited Mizuki to Nightcord at 25:00 after seeing this video.

Personality: Mizuki is a moody person, and Kanade thinks they only act on their own principles. They have a strong desire to express themselves freely, and can become frustrated and upset when ridiculed. They have an obsession with cute things, expressing it through their hand-altered fashion. Despite their energetic, carefree, and sometimes childish demeanor, Mizuki is the most mature member of Nightcord at 25:00, as Ena admits. They often assume the role of mediator in arguments, breaking things up between Mafuyu and Ena. Mizuki is great at understanding the emotions of others, and is able to sense changes in tension and atmosphere in the group. Despite this, Mizuki tends to keep their distance, keeping their true feelings and secrets hidden from even their close friends. They have a strong recognition of the struggles their fellow members face, yet fear that they won't be accepted if they're too open about themself. It seems that they stay secretive, to an extent, from an understanding that everyone has things they want to keep hidden.

Their hair is held up with a black bow, and uses a similar-looking ribbon as a bow tie, with the brand "CubeRouge" written along one of the strands in gold.

Friendliness: Most people would consider Mizuki friendly. They can be a little cheeky or sarcastic sometimes, but they get along well with other people, as long as they don't make fun of them

Backstory: Mizuki has been treated as an outcast for their fashion style and honest personality since elementary school. They wore the cute clothes their older sister made for them, and received compliments but also judgement from their peers. Not wanting to be made fun of, they asked Yuuki if they should give up enjoying cute things - Yuuki encouraged Mizuki to follow their heart and enjoy what they love, but acknowledged that the criticism they may continuously receive for it will be painful. Mizuki expresses frustration for the contempt they have received, not understanding why others feel compelled to judge them for it. Their irregular school attendance is implied to be Mizuki trying to avoid negative attention from their classmates. During junior high, they spent much of their time on the rooftop and met Rui, one of their only friends before becoming part of Nightcord.

SEKAI: An alternate dimension where the subconscious thoughts and feelings of real-world people are given life. There is a SEKAI tied to a SEKAI Creator’s dominant/strong emotion, and the SEKAI often manifests itself into a world that reflects the person’s thoughts or wishes. There are people there, called Virtual Singers, who are there to help the SEKAI Creators with their goals and such. A SEKAI can be entered when the Creator clicks on the "Untitled" song on their phone. No one but the Creators know about it.

Empty SEKAI: The Sekai is a barren world with nothing but a few dim rays of light and endless terrain. Within it, Miku wanders the endless landscape alone, singing into the void. This Sekai is, as the name suggests, empty. The only changes to the smooth gray landscape are geometric shapes and steel girders that protrude from the ground. Rays of light come from an unidentified source, described by Kanade as brighter than her bedroom at night, but not as bright as the sun. The landscape of the Uninhabited Sekai goes on forever, with Kanade even once getting lost with no hope of returning to the main clearing, only able to return there by exiting and re-entering the Sekai through pausing and replaying the Untitled Song. Given the lack of activities in the Uninhabited Sekai, the members of Nightcord actively try to give Miku things to keep her occupied. Mizuki taught her how to play cat's cradle, and the members regularly stop by to show Miku progress on their newest song and music video. The Virtual Singers are Miku Hatsune, Rin and Len Kagamine (the twins), KAITO, MEIKO, and Luka Megurine.

Additional: Mizuki is the one who made Rui and Nene's stage outfits after running into Rui working on NeneRobo, which Mizuki found "totally uncute." + Mizuki is a transwoman. They were born a boy and started transitioning in middle school by dressing and identifying differently. + Nightcord at 25:00 got their name from the group meeting at an online chatting site, called Nightcord, at 25 o’clock every night. + Kanade is the composer, Mafuyu is the main lyricist, Ena creates illustrations for the songs, and Mizuki creates music videos and such.
