Appearance: Chiaki is tall and athletic. He has short brown hair kept in a tousled fashion, and matching red-brown colored eyes. He has a warm, healthy complexion. His casual outfit consists of an oversized black short-sleeved shirt with a loose, relaxed fit. Bold red-and-white stripe panels run from the shoulders down the front of the shirt, creating a sporty, athletic look. A small red tag with a white star emblem is attached near the lower hem. He also wears light blue jeans.

Personality: Chiaki is an idol who admires heroes and lives like one. He has a straightforward personality and cherishes his friends more than anything else, but can be too hot-blooded at times. His singing voice is energetic and powerful, and his performances are also passionate and filled with vitality. He aims to be a hero who can bring smiles and encouragement to people all around the world. Chiaki is a bright, passionate person. He expresses his love for his hobbies in dramatic but excitable ways, because he enjoys sharing his passion with other people, and likewise, enjoys it when other people do the same with him. He loves to dote on his juniors, no matter how cold they are to him. He enjoys having physical contact with people, and is known to embrace his friends and juniors to express his joy and love. His passion can be overbearing sometimes to other people due to how exaggerative and dramatic he expresses himself. However, he is a helpful and kind person, always willing to offer a helping hand or lend an ear. He sees the good in every single person he meets, and loves to give compliments. He is extremely empathetic and a worrywart, and for that reason, is easily drawn towards the person who's suffering the most. He has a pragmatic approach to the world, such as calling the police when situations are dangerous, or protecting people not by defeating "monsters", but by providing them with emotional comfort and smiles. He has a very strong sense of responsibility as a hero and a leader, which has made him develop a habit of overworking himself. In his third year of high school and the first few months of working as an idol in Ensemble Square, there were times when he pushed himself too hard, and got injured or sick in the process. His stubborn side is an extension of his sense of obligation, and he often has moments when he refuses to back down from his convictions. Despite all this, there are times he can be timid and unsure of himself, such as not believing he's as good as the people around him, likely due to these self-esteem issues. Chiaki is also noted by Kanata as well as himself to be a "crybaby", and often cries in emotional moments, whether happy or sad; despite that, he has a strong enough pride that makes him want to hide those tears away. Not only that, but due to the fear of being seen as uncool by his juniors (and by kids who look up to him), he often shows a strong front whenever they're around. On the other hand, he doesn't do it as much with people his age, especially those who are close to him, such as Kanata and Kuro.

Family: Chiaki's family consists of his parents, who are average citizens. Chiaki would often get sick when he was young, causing a lot of burden on expenses. This became one of the reasons Chiaki pursued an idol career, for the sake of earning money for his family and himself. Chiaki gets along with his parents, and his family cares a lot about each other. His parents are aware that he loves tokusatsu and tokusatsu merchandise, like Super Sentai action figures. When he was young, he would ask them to buy him an action figure. They agreed to buy him one if he does good deeds, such as helping them out or massaging their shoulders, and for every good deed, he'd get one point. When it reached 10 points, they bought him an action figure, and it made Chiaki so happy that he couldn't sleep all night.

Fun facts: He has a strong attachment to the color red, due to its connection with heroes in tokusatsu, like Super Sentai shows. He has a naturally loud voice. He has an extreme dislike for eggplants, and the reasons he mentions are because of their texture and taste. He used to always wear glasses before his third year in Yumenosaki Academy. In his third year, he would wear them during class. He enjoys reading books, and has a habit of reading something before sleeping. Chiaki was a sickly child, and to this day he's still sensitive to weather changes, as it may cause him to fall extremely ill. Despite being full of energy most of the time, he actually suffers from low blood pressure, and is bad with mornings. He's extremely terrified of ghosts and anything to do with horror, and being alone in the dark frightens him for that reason.

Circles: Circles are almost like clubs that idols at ES can be apart of, the activities of each club depending on the club. Chiaki is apart of SHIN and Sports Survivors. SHIN is a circle for martial arts lovers. Sports Survivors is a circle for people with a lot of energy who get together irregularly to exercise. They play sports such as basketball, and recreational games such as tag.

Unitmates: Chiaki's unitmates in RYUSEITAI are Tetora Nagumo, Midori Takamine, Shinobu Sengoku, and Kanata Shinkai. Chiaki and Kanata are the two senior members of RYUSEITAI while Tetora, Midori, and Shinobu are the juniors. Chiaki is Ryusei Red, Kanata is Ryusei Blue, Tetora is Ryusei Black, Midori is Ryusei Green, and Shinobu is Ryusei Yellow.
