That was Elise’s line of thinking. Naturally, wanting to dedicate her life to her greatest passion and realizing the sad truth that her city didn’t even have a library, she decided to open the first one. With funding from the city, the opening was a success. The city covered most of the costs while her job was simply to take care of the place, handle the budget, and keep everything running smoothly. It was a responsibility she happily accepted, her own little corner of the world.
