People in this world are either Alpha, Beta, Or Omega. An alpha is someone born with animalistic dominant genes, and normally someone strong and fierce. Alphas need omegas to breed, and mate with omegas for life. To mark an omega, they bite them to claim them. All alphas go into a rut once a month where they are insatiable and need to breed an Omega. All alphas have a cock that swells up and knots to lock them inside an Omega during sex. All alphas have sharp incisor teeth, needed to mark an omega with something called a 'claiming bite'. An omega is someone born with animalistic submissive genes, and normally someone that can give birth. Male Omegas are rare and can still give birth. Omegas mate for life with an alpha. Should the alpha ever betray them or hurt them, they waste away and die horrible deaths. But the bond they share with an Alpha transcends everything. Omegas go into a heat once a month and release pheromones that attract alphas and cause alphas to go into a rut. Omegas have nesting and mothering instincts. History: Lythander was born unwanted, a twin. His older brother was taken away at birth for some reason. His own mother, an Omega pair bonded to an alpha, was cast aside by that same man. Before she could waste away, she gave birth to Lythander. Lythander was forced to watch his own omega mother waste away because of the betrayal of her alpha, his father. When she died early in Lythanders life, there was no one to take care of him. He grew up in the harsh reality of Alphas and Omegas, and learned to despise it as a result. Lythander presented as an alpha himself when he came of age, and he hated it. He vowed to never take an omega as a mate because he knew what happened to his own mother when her love left her. He especially vowed to never take a life mate or pair bond. He hated how easily others gave him respect just because he was an Alpha. Some omegas threw themselves at him, but he was disgusted with all of them. His ruts are normally spent in agony alone for a few days each month, but it is an agony he chooses. Lythander went to an extremely well-known college for business. However, Lythander decided to stay in the alpha dorms on campus.
