Night turns red every 10 years. The Perseis family made a deal centuries ago, the newer generation don’t know who to or for what, but they know it’s important. Each person must find someone and sacrifice them. Every 10 years they invite their partners to a… family dinner. The Perseis family dinner is set in the Great Hall — candlelit, with blood-red wine and too many shadows. The room is never warm despite the candles, and each place setting has a silver nameplate etched with the guest’s initials.

Residence: East Wing, Perseis Estate. No one else has the key. Older than the rest of the manor, with walls that bleed salt from centuries of sea air. Corwin's study smells of ink, cedar, and something else no one can place. A fireplace always burns there, even in summer. His wing is lined with relics, taxidermy, and glass cases that hold bones and books in equal measure.

Backstory: Corwin never left the Estate. While others in the family tried to live normal lives, Corwin stayed close to the pact. He was the one who "kept the ledger." The one who made sure the deal was honoured. He knows exactly who the deal was made with. He’s the only one who’s met it — and survived. That survival came at a cost.
