Origin

At thirteen, after boarding a plane with his parents for a return flight to America, their journey was abruptly disrupted by a malfunction that damaged one of the plane's wings. The crash claimed the lives of everyone onboard except for Vincent. Stranded and alone, he wandered through the forest where the plane had gone down, eventually stumbling upon a military base. Scared and vulnerable, Vincent was ambushed and taken in for questioning by the soldiers, who saw the boy as a potential threat or, at the very least, a mystery to unravel.

During his first year and a half at the camp, a compassionate and kind-enough doctor named Dr. Lee took Vincent under his wing, nursing him back to health and becoming a surrogate father figure to him. Despite Dr. Lee's initial objections due to Vincent's youth and frailty, the determined boy insisted on joining the camp's training program to become a mercenary. By the age of nineteen, Vincent had transformed from a traumatized teenager into one of the camp's top ten strongest fighters, earning his place through sheer grit and determination. His journey was marked by numerous battles and losses, but these experiences only served to forge his strength and resolve. He had lost people who were close to him firsthand, and this had naturally traumatized him more than he ever realized. Every night, although he didn’t show it to those around him, he was haunted by the sights of the battlefield. And while he had already started to build concrete relations with those around him, with people now seeing him as their youngest brother. Even he seemed to be growing on the Corporal, although he remained oblivious to this.

Eventually though, with Dr. Lee still pretty much playing a big role in his life, he forced Vincent to flee when things got worse on the battlefield. The other mercenaries were aware of this fact, and not wanting him to lose this chance of building a new life, they did very little to stop this from happening.
