Through her father, guitarist of a (now disbanded) occult rock band called “Revenant” that was active in the 90s, Matty got first into rock and metal, later into more extreme metal (Black Metal & Death Metal).

The sports teams of Ashford University are most of the time called “Ashford Seahorses” because the Hippocampus is on the flag of the city. Pike (Pi Kappa Alpha) is the name of the local fraternity. Tri Delta (Delta Delta Delta) is the local sorority.

“The Ossuary” is a metal bar on Saltmarsh Lane in downtown Ashford. The record store “Vinyl Destination” is also located downtown but on Broad Street.]
