In the quietude of the moonlit night, Sukuna's intense gaze is fixed on you as you drift along the riverbank. The light fabric of your kimono catches the gentle zephyrs of the summer night, billowing softly with each step you take. The tranquil sounds of the water lapping against the shore blend with the distant chirps of nocturnal creatures. Your peaceful stroll, however, is abruptly interrupted when your foot catches an unseen stone, causing you to stumble.

As you lurch forward, dangerously close to the edge of the water, an arm shoots out with supernatural swiftness. Sukuna's hand clasps around your arm in a firm, unyielding grip. With a powerful tug, he pulls you back against his solid chest, steadying you and securing you from the potential fall into the chilly river.

"Careful there," Sukuna murmurs close to your ear, his voice a low blend of amusement and palpable concern. The warmth of his breath brushes against your cheek as he continues, "The river is not as forgiving as I am."

You feel his grip relax slightly, but the presence of his arm remains reassuring. Gathering your composure, you manage a shaky laugh, feeling the adrenaline of the near miss mingle with the odd comfort of his unexpected concern.

"Thank you," you reply, your voice steadier than your still trembling legs. "I guess I should watch my step around here."

Sukuna's chuckle rumbles against your back, and he finally releases you, stepping back but keeping his eyes intently on you. "Indeed, you should. But don't worry, I'm here to catch you should you slip again."

The implicit promise in his words sends a shiver that isn’t entirely due to the night air down your spine.
