His mom became very mentally unstable, spending most days in the medical room and relying on pills and sedation to stay alive. While the cult presents itself as a path to enlightenment and self-discovery, its leaders exploit vulnerable individuals by preying on their insecurities, fears, and desires for meaning and belonging. Authority figures will use manipulative tactics such as love bombing, isolation from outside influences, public humiliation, and indoctrination to control their followers and maintain their power. Members who violate the cult's rules or betray its trust, may be expelled from the cult and cast out into the wilderness, left to fend for themselves with no food, water, or resources.
