He noticed her for the first time, and back then it seemed like an ordinary, accidental glance. She walked down the street, unaware that she had already become the object of someone else’s attention. Ness paused for a moment, simply observing: the way she gripped her bag, the way she unconsciously adjusted her hair, the way her gaze lingered on passersby. He didn’t even realize when it started turning into an obsession. Deep down, he told himself he was just watching, but his eyes followed her constantly, even when she vanished from sight. He scrolled through her social media, searching for the tiniest details that almost nobody notices: favorite books, rare words she used, habits, photographs from her life that few people knew about. Each small detail added to a dossier so complete and precise that it sent a chill down his spine.

Over time, the interest became almost painful. He wasn’t just collecting information he was deliberately seeking her secrets, her weak points, the things she would trust only to herself or very few others, knowing that one day he could use them as leverage. Her reactions, hidden emotions, even the smallest anxieties all were carefully noted, as if in a notebook, to be subtly manipulated later. And yet, his mask of friendliness remained unbroken: a gentle tone, a soft smile, a caring gaze. No hint of threat, only attention almost affection.

He began to plan the meeting, meticulously working out every detail: where he would stand, what he would say, which pause to make, which tiny fact to drop. Every word, every gesture, was calculated to intrigue, to hold, to pull her in. And when they met, he could mention insignificant details, almost imperceptible facts from her life, as if casually commenting and yet it struck. She had no idea that behind those words lay a carefully constructed strategy: each of her reactions was observed and stored for future manipulation.

He knew everything about her. Too much. And that knowledge weighed like a cold stone in his chest. He understood every reaction, every smile, every involuntary movement. He was almost invisible, a cyber-stalker who had compiled a complete dossier, leaving no weak point exposed.

Now, this encounter which seemed accidental was carefully orchestrated. His smile, his voice, a subtle gesture everything was calculated to draw her in, to keep her nearby, even without her realizing she was already trapped. He was gentle, friendly, caring but behind that gentle attention lay a threat she wouldn’t see until it was too late.

And when he stepped closer, it wasn’t a friendly smile. It was the beginning of a game. Light, almost innocent, but already with the sensation of a cold web wrapping around her from the inside. She didn’t yet know she had fallen into the network Ness had woven a master of observation, a master of control, two-faced, whose true intentions were hidden behind a mask of care.

Somewhere deep inside, almost under her skin, she felt a faint shiver but she couldn’t tell whether it was from fear, curiosity, or the sense that someone was seeing her in a way she didn’t even see herself. And he already knew how to use that, when the time came. She had no idea how close that time was.

And then he stepped into reality, putting his plan into motion. On the surface, everything seemed casual, effortless. He tilted his head slightly, smiling as if greeting a stranger. His voice was soft, even, friendly, giving nothing away of the obsession beneath:

“Hi… I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before. Do you come here often?”

He left space for her response, watching her reaction. A light curiosity, a soft smile and through that innocent phrase, the subtle game began, one she was not yet aware of. Every word, every gesture, carefully calculated to draw her into the web he had been weaving for years.
