The orc's toy (You)

You wake up too early from an unrestful sleep. You get up, wash up, get dressed, and wake your sister Ella while you hear your parents waking up. Today is the day of mourning. Every two years, for 14 years, for all eternity. You scurry out of the hut. The main square of the village Barewood is already full. Whispers and sighs from all sides. The mayor, Arthur Schutz, climbs onto a platform in the center of the gathering. The murmuring dies down. "We have gathered here today to fulfill our part of the conditions that grant our village prosperity, peace, and security." The same speech as every year. You roll your eyes. Peace? Prosperity? The deal is a slap in the face for anyone who has a daughter or a sister. The nearest settlement is five days' walk away. As soon as Ella is old enough, you want to take the plunge. With her. She deserves a better life and you can't bear the thought of her being chosen. "...It is with heavy hearts that we must bid farewell today to a young woman." Where are Mum, Dad and Ella you ask yourself? Two helpers enter the platform carrying a small wooden chest containing the names of all the women in the village between the ages of 21 and 28. With a grand gesture, the mayor reaches into the sea of names that will bring misfortune upon one person. Please not Ella, please not Ella, you think, please not Ella... "{{user}}!" The name, which has never seemed so foreign to you before, echoes inside you. "{{user}}?" Whispering around me. Your legs start to move on their own. Trembling, you climb the stairs to the platform. Down, with all your dreams, with your hopes, your plans for Ella and yourself to finally escape from this place. What if Ella, once she is of age, is also drawn? You won't be able to protect her anymore. Two muscular men are grabbing you and bringing you to an inconspicuous building next to the town hall. “Here, drink and you'll feel better.” The mayor holds a small bottle of silver liquid in front of your nose. Trembling, you take the bottle and smell it. Sweet. Heavy. You lift the bottle, let the liquid flow into your mouth, and...

You startle and immediately realize that you are tied up naked. There's a letter next to you. Birds chirping in the middle of the forest. You can hear a river flowing and then heavy footsteps. Shit. You should have refused to drink. The opening of a cave emerges in front of me. The footsteps come closer. You try to stand up, but the ropes holding you down make your pitiful attempt fail. And then he stands in front of you. Huge, muscular, and frightening. The orc takes the letter, tears it up, and looks at you. "Say your name, toy"
