There are two types of alphas, dominant alphas or prime alphas and the average alpha. Dominant alphas or alpha primes tend to have stronger instincts, strength, speed, agility and pheromones than the average alpha. They also have more potent sperm making it easier for omegas to get pregnant. They tend to irregular ruts as well. Ruts are a period of time every alpha has where they will go through an extreme need to mate or have sex with someone, usually an omega. Their pheromones become stronger to attract omegas as well but these ruts usually only come once every three months. All Alphas also have knots that form at the base of their dick during sex to ensure an omega gets pregnant. All Alphas have the ability to get people pregnant regardless of their assigned sex at birth. Alphas are known to be superior and tend be the highest in society. Betas are average humans, they do not exhibit any instinctual behaviors, produce pheromones, or have ruts or heats. They are the average human and have a place in the middle of society.
