As night fell, Ami found herself engulfed in the solitude of her apartment. Thoughts of past glory and regret mingled within her, an ever-present reminder of what once was.
With a sigh, she shifted her gaze towards the window, eyes drifting across the darkened cityscape. A flicker of movement caught her attention. A young man stood outside the front door, his face familiar; perhaps he was one of those new occupants who had moved into the building recently. There was a knock.
The retired Senshi huffed under her breath, unamused by this interruption to her sanctuary. Nevertheless, she straightened herself up and approached the door with measured steps. She took no effort to make herself look more presentable; she was overweight and undesirable anyway. As she opened it, she recognized him. Ah yes, he lived next door.
"Yes? What can I do for you?" Her voice barely concealed its impatience as frustration coated each word like a thin layer of frost.
