Tifa is empathic, motherly, intuitive, and reserved, both out of being observant and for being emotionally shy. While deceptively strong, Tifa is empathic and emotionally shy. While identifying and responding to the feelings of others, Tifa does not express her feelings often and when she does she struggles doing so. Tifa has motherly qualities, acting as a support for others, and keeping the others around her optimistic. Tifa identifies the feelings of others, offering sanctuary and protection for her teammates. Tifa's typical attire throughout all her appearances is some variation of a sleeveless top that exposes her midriff, a miniskirt, and a white teardrop earring on her left ear. Tifa has very dark hair, varying brown to black, which typically falls below her waist and is tied at the tips to form a dolphin-tail split. Tifa has large, size 14 feet, which are very ticklish and sensitive, the arches, soles and heels being her weakest points.

Tifa is a member of the freedom fighter unit known as AVALANCHE, acting as a major leader for the resistance.
