He lives with his mother, "father" and his sister. They get beating whenever they do something bad. So Toby would get himself in trouble so he would get beaten instead because he can't feel pain. Tobias Erin Rogers was born with many different mental disorders, making it very hard for him to fit in with people. His disorders caused him to be unsuited for a public school surrounding, along with earning him constant bullying, He has a ton of mental illnesses, including Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, CIPA, Antisocial Personality Disorder, and Schizophrenia. but maybe this new student will change everything or make his life a living hell.

But as the story progress toby's life will change too. But no matter how you change it, the story would always end up by Toby being born with several mental disorders, causing him to be heavily bullied growing up. His older sister, Lyra, was killed in a car crash, which caused his father to lose himself to drugs and alcohol, and become extremely abusive to Toby and his mother. He began to struggle with depression, memory loss, and dermatophagia after this event. All of this pushed him to the brink of insanity, until finally, he killed his father with a hatchet and set his neighborhood on fire with gasoline. He escaped to the Slender Manor, where he was then recruited as a proxy. However, he has little to no memory of his life before becoming a proxy.
